The last debate before the January 3rd Iowa caucuses is being held tonight in Sioux City.
We get seven candidates at this debate: Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum and Jon Huntsman.
Fox's Bret Baier anchors the debate. Fox News panelists questioning the candidates: Chris Wallace, Megyn Kelly and Neil Cavuto.
Perry did good only because he’s never set his expectations all that high. The first half of the debate he looked like he had two cups of coffee and a bottle of Five Hour Energy.
Thanks for posting that! I was trying to correct what the other person posted and then saw yours.
Newt carried the audiance as well....people know the truth when they hear it....even if they haven’t a clue beforehand.
Additionally Newt was heavy under fire tonight and handled the fire exceptionally well. Am so proud to support Newt...and would no doubt be proud for Him as our President...and this includes his wife who will more than hold her own..... She won’t be doing jumping jacks in the Whitehouse lawn either or dancing to the latest hip hop!
~~Perry is speaking directly to the American people whoa re watching..in great numbers..and NOT to the others on the stage, or to the FOX staff...we shall see if this resonates with the voters...as I type hes talking about the Bill of Rights..hes back on top of his game..~~
the more i hear GOV Perry, the more i like him. He might not be polished, but i see a sincere and down-to-earth man. Godspeed to him.
Newt Gingrich won the debate.
The most significant loser tonight was Fox News and each one of those a$$hat moderators.
Thanks for clarifying the Tebow reference.
From Perry’s lips to God’s Ear!
I had to Google it....LOL
bttt
He used the word "screwed" at least three times this evening.
Perry will be the jobs and energy president.
here’s a little blurb about it
Newt served on the Defense Policy Board under President George W. Bush, which provided strategic counsel to the Pentagon and Secretary of Defense on how to better address threats facing the United States. He is also the longest-serving teacher of the Joint War Fighting course for Major Generals at Air University and taught officers from all five services as an honorary Distinguished Visiting Scholar and Professor at the National Defense University.
he has actually mentioned it in passing several times during the debates, including tonight.
Looks like Newt is getting better in the debate. Perry was steady, Rick was trying to keep up. Mitt was as always Mitt. Bachman looks like she was in attack mode. Huntsman, looks like he wants to primary Obama. Paul, please keep that can of mix nuts closed.

this post just went up a few seconds ago, about that remark... should be interesting.
Where is Caddell on now? Not on Hannity. Hannity's interviewing Robamney right now. But then again, Shaun might as well be interviewing Pat Cadell, for as much as Hannity never lets Pat get a word in edgewise....
I just got through watching the debates(I delayed it) and this is my first comment on this or any thread about it....I thought all candidates were impressive and I thought the Fox people were impressive. It was a good lively debate and it made me proud to be on the conservative side of the ledger
And he will be loved and respected by our military.
Which I find very frightening. :)
As a lifelong resident of PA, I must point out that Santorum lost to Bob Casey, Jr. in PA, son of a VERY popular pro-life Democrat governor. Casey, Jr. didn’t have a long record to run against as I recall, so his name carried a lot of weight. That was also the year that Republicans got trashed in the election.
Santorum’s only mistake was not getting out of that race before it started. He didn’t have a chance against Casey, Jr., probably not even in a good electoral climate for Republicans. The basic nature of the state has been blue-collar pro-life Democrat for a long time. Santorum did win elections here and I believe would help bring Newt votes as a V.P.
