Blaming America again? No, far from it. How is it that on domestic policies, we can blame the government for all their wrong doing, but on foreign policy, they’re incapable of making a single mistake? You cannot fathom the idea that our foreign policy is not flawless.
Tell me why did we overthrow democratically elected Mossadegh in Iran in 1953 if not for oil? This resulted in the Islamic revolution of 1979. Why did we support financially and military Saddam during Iraq-Iran war? Why did we do the same with Osama bin Laden against the soviet in the 80?
Our foreign policy is insane. We create our own monsters and then we spend trillion dollars on wars to get rid of them.

Why did we support Iraq? Its called payback and it's a bitch. I guess those ragheads shouldn't have held our people hostage. As far as Osama, the CIA never supported Osama Bin Laden. The CIA supplied freedom fighters in Afghanistan. The fact Osama also supplied and fought with those fighters was neither supported or condemned by the CIA. You have keep some perspective. We happened to be fighting a country that had 3 times the military arsenal of the United States and needed all the help we could get.

Excellent question and true point.

Just to be clear - do you believe that we don’t critique our own foreign policy? Or are you saying that Paul and the Paulbots are the only ones who get it right?

Before you get too exorcised over who we supported, remember we also supported Uncle Joe/the USSR against the guy with the funny moustache.
