For the fifth straight survey, the GOP field has a new frontrunner in Iowa.
This is just an excellent project. The sort of thing that FR was built for IMHO. Good luck with it and I suggest you start posting a regular update. Put me on your ping list if you do.
Hope the Newt haters here are happy. I know the Republican Establishment is.
“Mean-spirited” may not be the right word, but Michele Bachmann has acted very aggressively toward the other candidates.
Remember her skirmishes with T-Paw?
How about Rick Perry and Gardasil?
Turn 9-9-9 upside down and the devil’s in the details?
Her constant attacks have grown so tiresome and shrill that I would never dream of supporting her were we not so desperate for someone to topple Romney. If she can make a comeback, I’ll support her.
Santorum is easily the best conservative in the race, but he’s not necessarily the most likeable person. I think someone around here said that he sounds “like a hall monitor.” That’s not inaccurate.
Iowa is very relevant this year. With Romney almost assured of winning New Hampshire, Iowa provides the best chance of boosting an alternative that can beat him. If Romney wins Iowa and New Hampshire, he'll likely be unstoppable.
So this is what’s its become? The GOP elitists force their cod liver oil down our throats every election cycle? This nation has become a zoo full of demented hyenas!
The whole primary process is fluxed up. Why does Iowa get to lead off and count so much? Hold a national primaries election day and tally up the votes. Then again they’ed flux that up too.
Of course, conservatives could if people like you weren't cannibalizing every conservative candidate and helping divide the conservative.
Michele Bachmann was destroyed by lunatics that claimed she part of the establishment because she hired the evvvilll Ed Rollins. Idiots claimed she was Mitt Romney's stalking horse and was a gaffe-prone nut. IT WAS CONSERVATIVES THAT DESTROYED HER.
Perry was ripped apart on trivial issues like in-state tuition for illegals, which is a minor problem compared to Romney's liberal record.
Now, the only mildly conservative alternative to Romney, Newt, is being lied about and called a progressive by new world order, paranoid fanatics like you.
Congratulations, then, you're helping Obama win reelection.
I've been wondering that for a long time. I grew up in a neighboring, conservative state. Nine times out of ten, the Iowans I met were liberals that loved their farm subsidies.
That gives him support from a variety of upscale republican smokers, closet conservative/smokers, hippies, collegiate smokers, and independent smokers.
You may laugh but I think this reflects a lot of his support. I sure do. I can think of no other reason a band of gypsies follows him around like the Grateful Dead.
Wrong, no one has won a damn thing, no one has voted. Do you believe in letting people vote.
Really, when did the election take place.
This is ridiculous. These polls are all over the place. One has Gingrich trouncing everybody, another has Paul shooting upward and Romney in 4th place, and now this one has Romney in 1st? I’m not bothering to vote if Romney wins the nomination. Newt, kick their butts tonight!
Rasmussen has some crazy stuff going on. Today the gallup Poll has Obama’s approval dropping to 42%. Rasmussen has him rising to 47%.
Rasmussen today has Romeny ahead. A new Newsmax/IA Poll has Romney in freefall in Iowa *Newt 27%, Paul 17%, Perry 13% and Romney 12%)
No way does Romney have that many people willing to come out to the caucuses and (literally) stand up and be counted as his supporters. Ron Paul might — his little band will walk through fire for him — but not Romney.
Does it involve sending the RINO Establishment on a one-way trip to Venus? If so, count me in.
Welcome to FR.
NH is pretty much Romney’s home state so toss that out the window, nobody down here ever cares what they do up there ask McCain.. it’s SC where you will see if Perry or Gingrich are going to pop him good
I think that PPP poll is skewed. I’m not paying much attention to it. I wonder what Zogby is saying?
Santorum is fine when he is leading or at least in contention. His problem is that he sounds too whiny when he’s losing (one debate against Casey stands out in my memory). He could be a strong candidate if he learned how to handle adversity.
For the record, I am undecided but have narrowed my choice down to three (Santorum is one of them).
