FALLUJAH, Iraq Hundreds of Iraqis set alight U.S. and Israeli flags on Wednesday as they celebrated the impending pullout of American forces from the country in the former insurgent bastion of Fallujah. Shouting slogans in support of the resistance, the demonstrators held up banners and placards inscribed with phrases like, Now we are free and Fallujah is the flame of the resistance. Surrounded by the Iraqi army, demonstrators carried posters bearing photos of apparent insurgents, faces covered and carrying weapons. They also held up pictures of U.S. soldiers killed and military vehicles destroyed in the two major offensives against the city in 2004.

Lib....I’m so completely disgusted with the lot of them...including the woman they constantly throw out there for sympathy. Doesn’t work now for me.....I simply don’t care if they are brutilized or abused...to them it’s a lifestyle and I say let them keep it. They are a sadistic people who have no reason or sense of life and glory in death. I’m done with them entirely...let them rot in their own filth. Worse then the scum of the earth. Full of hate and care not for it otherwise.
.....two soldiers in the left of the picture
Enlarge that pic... The one without the helmet looks American, close cropped hair and what looks like a unit patch on his right sleeve....
We should send them a new tyrant just like Saddam. Maybe they’ll appreciate what we did for them.
what does an American look like?
I agree with you 1000%!

There was some small good that came from our intervention. The Kurds have mostly benefited (themselves) by being cut loose from the arabs. Whether they’ll be left alone to thrive is another matter but the start was good. My son deployed twice first to the N in a Kurdish area and then to the south with the arabs. He generally liked the Kurds and their time there was mostly peaceful b/c they (Kurds) didn’t put up w/ the crap going on in the arab areas. His second deployment was vastly different in a negative sense.

Good Luck, folks, you’re on your own now!!!!
So how many billions of dollars in aid will Obama keep pouring in after our troops leave? And how many “civilians” who will train them to fight us and the Israelis?
And how many of the guys in that crowd burning the flags are living on our welfare dollars?
Meanwhile, the Chinese and the French have gotten the oil that we fought for.
Burning “U.S. and Israeli flags”.... sounds suspiciously like it was orchestrated by Iran.
It’s OK. They’ll be killing each other in a month. They are better at it than we are.
Is there an Architect in the house?
Well said. Eff-um.
“Hundreds in Fallujah burn U.S. flag to celebrate troops pulling out of Iraq”
Isn’t hundreds of billions of dollars borrowed from the ChiComs for nation building great?
I can’t believe any one could be surprised by this. They are Muslims. They are our enemy. This is to be expected.
If only our troops would pile up all the Iraqi flags they could find, and torch them as they are leaving that miserable country! I know it won’t happen, though.
And we thought the slaughter in South Vietnam was bad....
In all fairness, it’s short-sighted to let a few hundred in a city thousands drive a wedge between the U.S. and the thousands there who helped us.
It was a staged event to piss off Americans to make sure we never bother to confront Islam again. Judging by the comments here on FR, seems like a lot of you are eager to do as the Islamists want.
Just sayin’.
Our next military involvement in Iraq should ONLY be from the air!
