Sarah Palin Fails To Find Buyer For Latest TV Show Sarah Palin has so far failed to find a buyer for her latest television show idea in a further sign that her star is on the wane.
In the last few years Sarah Palin has made millions of dollars from two books and numerous public appearances By Nick Allen 13 Dec 2011
The former Republican vice presidential candidate's new proposed foray into reality TV would focus on her husband Todd's career as a champion snowmobile racer. It would be a follow up to "Sarah Palin's Alaska," an eight-part travelogue which was sold to The Learning Channel (TLC) for more than $1 million an episode and first broadcast in November last year.
That show followed the former Alaska governor and her family around the state, including footage of her shooting a caribou on a hunting trip, going on a deep sea fishing expedition, and visiting a logging camp. It broke ratings records for a first episode on TLC, drawing more than five million viewers. However, it dropped to three million for the second episode and received mixed reviews, with entertainment industry bible Variety commenting "Boring? You betcha".
Discovery Communications, which owns TLC, has not bought the latest idea for a Palin show. Cable and satellite broadcaster A&E Networks, which bid for the previous series, is also reportedly not interested.

I wish her a lot of luck as a reality TV star. I felt scammed and still do, but whatever will be, will be (cue doris day).
Great comment - agree completely. I think after the 08 election was over and she had to go back to the daily grind in Alaska...she was bored. I dont buy this myth that she quit because “the bad men had expensive lawsuits against her...” It was a career move.
I’ve never understood how she was ever seen as conservative, except for being seen with guns. I’ve always thought Alaska - a legal pot state - as far more liberal...like the “California” of the far north.
Beware the Scott Brown effect. A conservative from a liberal state isnt even close to a “heartland” conservative. If elected, she would have likely been labeled “RINO” within months of taking office.
Alaska is a legal pot state?
Watching Alaska State Troopers last month, I watched a Trooper explain to a befuddled stoner he was arresting, that is a misconception which gets innumerable tourists in trouble.
WOW! that will go over most peoples heads.
“Tourists” are unlikely to be citizens of Alaska - correct? I think the law refers to up to one ounce “in the home” - something a tourist wont have.
Isn’t that almost funny though? She kept leading her supporters on and on and manipulated them every step of the way. Then, after she “dropped out” of a race she never really entered in the first place, and during the interim, she raked in tens of millions, (Which she kept for herself) she still thinks she has not angered anyone.
Her career in anything she pursues from here on out, is over. She is well set up though. That is, if she can stop spending and living like the Queen of England.
Thanks HumbleGunner. We’ll see if yours is the popular opinion won’t we. ;^)
But, really, we were serious about Voltron! ;-)
Thanks IndyLindy.
AMEN!
I was teasing. She has my respect. She has my respect... honest! ;^)
A conservative from a liberal state isnt even close to a heartland conservative.

That is SO true. A few years ago MrR and I moved from California (where we were born and reared), to the heartland. We find it charmingly amusing when a few of the locals brag about being ‘liberal’ or people complain about them being ‘liberal’. One of the most liberal ones in town is a deacon in the Catholic church, head of the cemetery committee, pro-gun, pro-life, against welfare, no issue with big business...etc. He has no clue how conservative he is.
The ‘libs’ around here are more conservative than the moderate to conservative “Republicans” in California.
The connection seems obvious to me.
Thanks Reaganaut.
I was totally in the tank for Palin. I was sure she would run.
I don’t think I’m bitter. I just felt an odd detachment when she decided not to run.
I don’t understand it myself because I was so into her, but she’s just not on my radar anymore.
I still would like her if I thought about her but I don’t think about her.
Fortunately, I had a candidate waiting in the wings who was my second choice and I immediately moved on to him.
I feel sorry for the Palin people who didn’t have a fallback guy because a lot of them flocked to Cain, who self-destructed and was never the man they thought he was.
Way more to the story.
You forgot Esther from the Bible.
Well said!::APPLAUSE::
Thanks. I appreciate it.
