Sarah Palin Fails To Find Buyer For Latest TV Show Sarah Palin has so far failed to find a buyer for her latest television show idea in a further sign that her star is on the wane.
In the last few years Sarah Palin has made millions of dollars from two books and numerous public appearances By Nick Allen 13 Dec 2011
The former Republican vice presidential candidate's new proposed foray into reality TV would focus on her husband Todd's career as a champion snowmobile racer. It would be a follow up to "Sarah Palin's Alaska," an eight-part travelogue which was sold to The Learning Channel (TLC) for more than $1 million an episode and first broadcast in November last year.
That show followed the former Alaska governor and her family around the state, including footage of her shooting a caribou on a hunting trip, going on a deep sea fishing expedition, and visiting a logging camp. It broke ratings records for a first episode on TLC, drawing more than five million viewers. However, it dropped to three million for the second episode and received mixed reviews, with entertainment industry bible Variety commenting "Boring? You betcha".
Discovery Communications, which owns TLC, has not bought the latest idea for a Palin show. Cable and satellite broadcaster A&E Networks, which bid for the previous series, is also reportedly not interested.

I’m not interested in your opinion or advice.
To tell a man to chop some wood also means to tell him to masturbate. You might want to choose another line of work or play.
Isn’t that the same TLC network that has the series “American Muslim” trying to persuade us all how normal the hijab girl next door is?
Everyone needs to stay focused, and stop picking scabs. We are still in a good position, if we buck up and stop picking the damned collective scabs.
Oh, I did not know that.
Our nation is near collapse.
We need all our assets deployed.
Now. It is time. Now. It’s important.
America could be lost, very soon. Nobody will rescue us, as we have previously rescued so many.
If America fails, it’s over.
Ayup. When I read something on here last night about Newt being a TEA Party favorite, I figured it was a backhand at the TEA Party.
When the MSM starts unpacking his baggage and flinging that poo, they want it to stick to the TEA party movement as much as they can get it to.
If every conservative in America would take their television set out back and smash it to smithereens the chances that the republic might be saved would rise exponentially.
I totally disagree, PP. She could have made much more money as a Presidential candidate, whether she was successful or not. This path led to the bottom falling out for her. It was a family decision, and I’m still very upset with it, frankly. Bob
Well, they are acting like jilted high school aged lovers or wannabees. I wonder how many of the ones calling her a coward would drag their families through 1/10 of the crap the media has dragged them all through, and then make the conscious decision to go back into that foray for more than a year of increasingly shrill garbage flung at them. No doubt, there were death threats as well (most anyone high profile gets them), but after the Gabby Giffords (et. al.) shooting, really, how many posting their disdain would take their families into the face of that sort of crap?
Funny thing about doing all the jobs there, you might get a clue how things work.
LOL!
I need to walk the dog,at least that is positive.
The bad-mouthing of Sarah Palin on Free Republic — especially after so many here so vocally supported her just a few months ago — is DISGUSTING. I predicted then that if she decided not to run, many who talked her up would shortly be cussing and condemning her. Free Republic has proven me RIGHT.
Sarah Palin is STILL one of the most honorable Conservative leaders we’ve seen in a LONG time. That she didn’t run for President in this election does not negate what she has meant to our nation, nor what she could still do in the future. She said that she had prayed and discussed the matter with her family, and she felt this was the right thing to do. Will we second guess her?
She’s still qualified, but that’s not God’s plan for her right now. Maybe instead of blaming Sarah or buying into the lies about her being weak or in it for the money, we might consider the possibility her time has not yet come. But this derogatory crap toward an honorable and good woman by some FReepers is just asinine and ridiculous.
You are so right....
Thanks Azzurri.
I’m not saying be depressed.
I’m saying quitting, is the wrong thing for Palin to have done, and nobody should make that decision easy for her.
I say make her struggle with it.
Because it was the wrong decision, and she matters.
Sorry. I’m not supporting someone I once supported, and the reason is frankly, America is most important.
Not the hurt feelings of someone in her family.
Buck it up Palin. You blew it. Bigtime.
Fix it.
You are right but then again fame is fleeting and reality TV as a whole is a put-off to many.
The fail is all yours.
You’re blind and deaf.
