Good for Newt.
“The son said to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight. I am no longer worthy to be called your son. “But the father said to his servants, Bring out the best robe, and put it on him. Put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. Bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let us eat, and celebrate; for this, my son, was dead, and is alive again. He was lost, and is found.”
As for the Pharisees who don’t believe in redemption....piss off.
Newt is just doing what all politicians do to get elected. He is full of it.
Excellent! You are my type of Christian
As for the Pharisees who dont believe in redemption....piss off.
Redemption is for God and Newt. I make no judgment on his relationship with the Almighty. But just because someone claims to be a Christian does NOT make them one. God will do what God is going to do. As for me? No way I vote for this pig.
Gonna go “piss off” now.
There’s a difference though when someone is running for public office vs. forgiving someone of past indiscretions. I could care less what he does in his personal life - that’s between him, his family members and friends, and God.
However, if someone is running for public office I do think that one’s past behavior should be considered (not sure to what weight, though). We’re talking about the Presidency, after all. I wish there was a better choice available - man, do I wish for that... It’s not about forgiveness in the Christian way - it’s about being intelligent in evaluating available candidates when all you have to consider IS past behavior.
“As for the Pharisees who dont believe in redemption....piss off.”
Ditto to that..
