Took a friend (H.S. teacher) shooting yesterday. Her first time ever. Had a blast with a Ruger Mk II, was a little intimidated by the .357 mag, and wouldn’t touch the .45. All in all it was a great time.
Another one converted to the good side...

My wife would sooner shoot my 1911 than my 686 loaded w/ .357s though.
Women do seem to take well to .38 sp through a medium fame wheel gun though. What’s not to like? Enough bang to make them feel “gutsy”, but a mild enough “poot” to keep ‘em smilin’.
