Yes it was an 8 - 1 decision. That is Perry continuing to be himself by not making it clear for all who aren't aware of the almost 50 year old decision.
Did you perhaps see the interview? It was played in full on CSPAN last night and maybe scheduled again. Perry to me is off putting with his continual reference to Texas. I suspect the general non Texas public may feel the same.

Gov. Rick Perry knows there are 9 Supreme Court Justices.

Its an open question how many judges will be on the bench when they review Obamacare. Ahhh...wishful thinking. Of which I am guilty as well.
Is there no character to be found today?

Looks like Perry knew what he was talking about and the Perry-haters are trying to “out of context” something into SOMETHING, as usual.
Rick is slowly regaining. I like Newt too, but Perry is more conservative, in not just words - deeds.

“But according to the clarification by the Des Moines Register Perry was spot on right!”
Good try of damage control by his campaign; but that isn't what he meant after reading the transcript.
It's unfortunate; as I think Perry could have probably been the best candidate in this bunch with his background and record.
I know I would flub up 10 times more answers than he does.
But he just doesn't do well answering questions on the spot. A candidate will be harshly judged for that in today's world.
And; it may have nothing to do with how well he could govern. I just can't believe this hasn't been an issue during his current successful reign as governor; or any of the campaigns he would have went through to get in office.

Who cares? This is peanuts in the whole scheme of selecting a candidate. I'm sticking with Perry because he has commandeered his state to perhaps the healthiest state in the country.
If Perry can do for the US what he has done in TX, I'll take him in a NY minute over the others.
However, having said that, I'll take anyone of ours over the disaster, Obama.

And you give 2 hoots about some America hating PR lezbo’s name?
The only two names that would disturb me is Texas and America, if Rick got em wrong.
