Senior Palestinian leaders on Saturday strongly criticized comments by Republican presidential frontrunner Newt Gingrich that the Palestinians are an "invented" people, calling the comments ignorant and racist.
Top Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erakat said the Gingrich remark was "the most racist statement I've ever seen." Erakat, who has negotiated in talks with Israel and the United States, said the remarks show "how really despicable things can get" in American politics.
"Such thinking should be an alarm and concern for the world," Erakat said.
Gingrich made the comments in an interview that aired Friday with The Jewish Channel, a U.S. cable channel.
"I believe that the Jewish people have the right to have a state," Gingrich said in the interview. "Remember, there was no Palestine as a state. It was part of the Ottoman Empire. And I think that we've had an invented Palestinian people, who are in fact Arabs, who are historically part of the Arab community."

Newt needs to hire these “senior Palestinian leaders” to do his campaign ads. This alone is going to get him a huge jump in the polls. IMHO.

For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan.

Eventually they became nothing more than tax slaves to that empire ~ which impoverished them, destroyed their higher culture, and left them in an unenviable degenerate state.
They were finally liberated by The West in WWI (and to some degree before that in earlier French and British forays into the region). President Truman laid down the law to both the French and British that they had to get out of the Middle East.
He even reversed the earlier Roman destruction of the autonomous state of Israel ~

Gingrich struck a nerve. I guess the rag-tag squatter settlement of terrorist jordanians and egyptians on Israal’s borders for the purpose of squeezing the jews out of existence does’t like to be called what it is.

If something is a “TRUTH” of history, and it’s EASILY proven who “invented” it, not only was Gingrich’s remark not stupid, it indicates to the electorate that the jig is up and that the way he would handle the Israeli/Palestinian “question” would be just the opposite of the phony dog and pony show that’s been going on over there since Arafat.

I would LOVE to see him put the establishment ‘s candidate (Romney) on the spot and make him deny that, along with the “truth” about who and what Obama is all about, which the establishment FEARS TO TOUCH with a 10-foot pole.

Plenty of Islamic terrorists are/were self-avowed "Muslim socialists", most notably Arafat, Saddam (actually all Ba'athists including Assad), Gaddafi, and Khomeini of course . . . not to mention that much terrorism came from the Marxist left originally (the Bolsheviks, the IRA, ad nauseam).
