One can only imagine who a president RP would appoint for his cabinet, he’s already said Dennis Kuchinich is one of his favorites. His Secretary of Defense?
And Supreme Court appointee? Perish the thought.
IMHO Paul does not do ‘sound bytes’ well which leave his positions open to misrepresentation by the MSM.
However I do like “I define foreign aid as taking money from poor people in rich countries and giving it to rich people in poor countries. “.
When it is pointed out that Paul would end foreign aid to Israel, it is not pointed out that by ending all foreign ail Israel would be better off. Currently “We give $3 billion a year to Israel in loans; and we give $12 billion or more in assistance to Israel’s self-declared enemies. Some of these are countries that say they will drive Israel into the sea. “
Our nation building has resulted in Islamic republics in Afghanistan and Iraq, the installing the Moslem Brotherhood, allies of al-Quaeda, in Egypt and Libya.
In addition remember that “the borrower is servant to the lender” and America should never be the master of Israel and its fate.
Ron Paul is appealing because he’ll actually do something to protect the rights of Americans over the rights of lobbyists and minorities.
Say what you want about his foreign policy but I think the guy is serious when he votes no on bills to put you in jail at the President’s whim and wants to reign in the Fed who continues to feed these pigs bailouts.
I also happen to think he’s more electable than Newt (because Newt will get smoked by the liberal media over his 19 divorces, checks from Fannie Mae and that half-mil Tiffany’s account)
If he can find his way onto the ticket as the Republican candidate, I’ll vote for him. If he runs as an Independent, Libertarian or whatever, I’ll not vote for him. Ross Perot’s candidacy is still fresh in my mind.

Articles like this one is why I stopped following American Thinker on a regular basis. They are getting too far off into the weeds on the side of the road... The latest out of his mouth has sealed his fate. I welcome him to run third party. He is more attuned to a Michael Moore crowd than anything else.
Ron Paul’s foriegn policy outlook would be perfect if it sill took 3 months to sail across the Atlantic.

A sharp return to the Constitution and its limitations is needed NOW, not later.
Get rid of a few of his crazier opinions and bring him up to speed on some of the political realities that have changed since the Constitution was written, and Dr. Paul doesn’t sound that bad.
Besides, don’t we need a little “good crazy” to counter the madness we’ve seen over the past few decades?
Why RP becomes wacky on foreign policy issues, I’ll never know. This 9/11 was an inside job, illuminati, Bilderberg stuff worldwide conspiracy is far fetched to say the least. It may be true that there are a lot of evil globalist types, but they all have big egos, hate each other and have different aims. Soros and Dick Cheny are not working together in some worldwide group to produce mutant children ( but maybe Soros is).
That being said, I would happily vote for RP over zero any day. I just wonder if RP is not the GOP candidate, would RP voters just throw away their vote?
