Agreed.
Not Romney and certainly not Newt.
A brokered convention would be a God-send.
A “brokered convention” would be the END of the GOP. A “brokered convention” would ensure Rommney AND 4 more Obama years.
“All have flaws, and all have questionable ability to survive a general election.”
Yeah, this should be tough alright. NO ONE but the braindead will vote for this Kenyan clown. HAVE YOU SEEN THE POLL NUMBERS?
The MSM and the GOP elites have sure got us all rattled, don’t they? With all this negative talk, it’s a wonder we can field a candidate at all.
Speaking of which, if the GOP elites and the Dems have all melded into one, as so many libeltrarians assert, why wouldn’t they embrace Newt?
Because they REALLY hate the idea of him coming back.
If the DC elites HATE the idea of him coming back, why aren’t we busting ass to get him in there?
Don’t wish for a brokered convention. Although Paul may claim that is what he wants, knowing he can’t win outright, a brokered convention would usually mean the party power-players have greater influence over the candidate which would mean the establishment- Romney (unless he completely implodes prior).
Hopefully, Paul will be long, long, long gone prior to all this.
I don’t think so. The other candidates aren’t going to release their delegates to Romney. I don’t think a brokered convention favors Romney at all. A brokered convention would favor someone like Jon Huntsman, or perhaps someone who isn’t even in the race, like Paul Ryan or Mitch Daniels.
I disagree. I believe any and all of our candidates can easily beat the communist obama.
America is sick and tired of this piece of crap. Did u not watch the results of the last election?
Folks.... Obama is in trouble. He is beat. He is despised by the vast majority of Americans and the last election proves it.
“His goal is a brokered convention”
Mine, too.
they may all have flaws but only one of them is a nut case
Yeah, but with all of the "principled conservates" cutting each other's throats and sitting on their hands to "send the GOP a strong message", the braindead will re-elect the Kenyan Klown.
That'll show 'em!
Has anybody been to a brokered convention? How does it go down?
At this point, an end to the GOP isn’t wholly a bad thing.
It would probably do more to allow conservatives to advance in politics than trying to get them past the GOP party hacks.
Yeah, but with all of the “principled conservates” cutting each other’s throats and sitting on their hands to “send the GOP a strong message”, the braindead will re-elect the Kenyan Klown.”
On the upside, in four more years we’ll be in a socialist system, so the GOP purists will have proven their point...they WILL be superior.
No thanks... Newt is going to get the nomination and then stop Obama’s War on America.
Go Newt Go.....
Anything that would get newt, mitt and perry out, I am all for.
There hasn’t been a truly brokered convention since the 1940s I believe.
I wish I could share your optimism, but I think Obama will be formidable. He’s definitely weaker than 2008, but at this point I’d say the chances are roughly 50/50 that Obama win’s re-election. Incumbents are historically difficult to beat, and if the economy improves only marginally between now and the election, Obama’s numbers will improve. We need a tough, solid conservative to beat Obama.
