Obama: More Jobs Created With Unemployment Checks Than With Keystone Pipeline
Gateway Pundit ^ | December 8,2011 | Jim Hoft

As Obama called for passage of those bills, he also responded to a recent Republican push to require him to approve the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada. “However many jobs might be generated by a Keystone pipeline,” he said, “they’re going to be a lot fewer than the jobs that are created by extending the payroll tax cut and extending unemployment insurance.”

Yes folks, the Cretin-in-Chief is really that clueless.

He needs quad processor augmentation to his head before he can aim his eyes.

The man is completely looney, and utterly impervious to reason or reality.

He doesn’t bother to care if any of this stuff makes sense anymore. It’s like when adults are talking to babies - they should smile and nod their heads a lot and say any damn thing that comes into their heads because it really doesn’t matter.

UNEMPLOYMENT CHECKS DON’T CREATE JOBS! You get an Unemployment check because a job was LOST!

My theory is a computer virus infected his Teleprompter in 2008 and nobody’s been able (or willing) to eradicate it!

Printing more money is a lot easier than drilling and transporting gas and oil.

Need more jobs? Just print more money.

It’s called ZimbabweNomics.

He's right, in a perverted way. For the short-term, dissaving (which is what you get when you over-fund unemployment) raises consumption and hence GDP. Longer term, for real and healthy growth, you need investment capital--which is the category that the pipeline should fall into.

A similar situation arrises with the proverbial seed corn. You can eat it in the fall, and go hungry in the spring, or you can economize and plant it for the future.

A good deal of leftist populist appeal is based on painting the accumulators of capital as selfish, and focuses on consuming the seed corn. It looks good until "you run out of other peoples money."

Wasn’t it Pelosi that said by extending unemployment (a year or so ago) that 200,000 jobs would be created? Good God Almighty, what leadership! What a bunch of f...... geniuses!
