“Cain got brought down by flubbing softball questions”

Wrong. After 2 weeks of sexual allegations splashed on the tv screen 24/7, Cain was back to single digits.

The Libya answer didn’t hurt him at all. He had answered questions like that many times before. He once said that he didn’t have a plan for Afghanistan. People don’t expect candidates to be foreign policy experts.

It was that last bimbo, Ginger whatever who did Cain in. Yeah, he was dropping from the others; but Ginger was the SHTF moment. Cain easily blew off the other allegations. Bialek was discredited early, and the other woman would not come forward with her story. Once Ginger came out, things got awkward. We heard that Cain had been giving her money, that his wife didn't know about her, etc.

I think with Ginger, people started thinking there was a "there" there.

Sorry, but the affair allegations didn’t take him out, his numbers were actually remaining fairly strong through most of that, it was him flubbing Libya, and then Cuba, and lashing out and calling those questions gotcha’s and declaring no cameras etc that just showed Cain wasn’t ready for prime time.

The one where he was found giving money etc to a woman behind his wife’s back for 13 years didn’t help him, but the initial round of stuff did very little to hurt him... it was when he started to fall apart and then lash out at others, that his campaign ended.
