My Blood Dad is dying in great pain.
He has broken his hip the 3rd time. His vitals are too poor to operate.
They don't even know if they can move him at all due to the great pain.
He has reportedly made his peace with God and forgiven everyone.
Please pray that he graduates from this life as painlessly and quickly as The Lord would wish for him.
Sigh. BIG SIGH.
This is mother's birthday and the day her father died.
Sigh.
I know some prayer threads are in this forum. If this is not fitting, please move it where it is.
I'm more than a little discomboobalated.
Thanks in advance for all the prayers and caring so typical of all of you.
Sorry to hear this Quix. It sounds very serious.
Will pray for you and your father.
Prayers here for you and your father both.
My Father fell and broke his hip when he was well up in his 80s. I drove over to check on him and found him on the floor. The guys from 911 were really good, got him on a stretcher without much pain.
They took a bunch of X-rays and his regular doctor could not see any breaks but the radiologist found four breaks. I guess there is a reason for specialists.
They operated successfully and the hip healed well but he never was the same after that and never walked again. He also had pneumonia which at first the Dr. said it would not be treatable but another Dr., a very old one did treat him and he recovered. He languished in a nursing home for a couple of years and died at age 90. I sometimes think it would have been better for him if he had been taken by pneumonia tho none of his children including me would have allowed that.
I will remember your Father.
May God in Heaven hear our prayers and end your fathers pain and suffering and comfort you and your family. In the name of Jesus Christ our Savior, Amen.

Oh, Sweet Quix.
I pray God spares no haste in relieving your Dad from this pain.
May He be with you as well, during this trial.
One set of footsteps in the sand, OK? You can get your footing back later.

Your prayers and caring responsiveness are profoundly appreciated
and deeply felt.
May God reward you all 10 times over.
Wellllll, he certainly has had a fierce streak in him, HiTech RedNeck. He’s not been one to take life overly easy until his macular degeneration ended his driving . . .
Then a ‘caring’ neighbor lady ended up robbing him seriously (actually of a silver dollar collection he had for me LOL) . . . feigning great caring for him . . .
And he broke his hip 2-6 months ago the first time. Fell out of bed and broke it again after partial hip replacement therapy. And now has broken it a 3rd time.
He was a Navy Corpsman and typically makes a horrible patient—not very trusting and somewhat demanding. Whacked a male nurse hard in the chest somewhat out of it because of the pain.
Thankfully, his missionary Brother came up from Texas a month or 3 ago and insured that he was ready to meet the Lord and had forgiven everyone. PRAISE GOD FOR THAT. THAT WAS MY MAIN CONCERN.
That same Brother and I have now said he can feel free to go to the Lord on the phone to him. He reportedly registered that it was us talking to him.
The vital signs etc. are all extremely bleak. And, frankly, I don’t think Dad would like to hang around in even half as bad a shape. He had acted terrified to go but I think Uncle D & wife talking to him has greatly helped that score.
Prayers for The Lord Jesus to comfort him and ease his passing would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Josa, yes, a peaceful comforting passing would be great.
Thanks for understanding, jacquej & all.
Thanks tons for your suggestion Pontiac—my step-sister is at least as fierce as dad. I’m confident she’ll insure all that can be done.
He also has MERSA Sigh.
Thanks, Trisham. I will though I’ll probably go to church around 18:45 tonight.
Prayers for me . . . may be irrationally fearful that my also 88 year old step-Dad would go in the same rough time frame as my mother and step-mother graduated within 5 days of one another. My step-dad seems to be in good health except for a cold and bad knees and a cataract.
Feel free to ask whatever . . . oneamericanvoice—he has MERSA and his vital signs have crashed big time. The medical personnel have said that the family needs to tell him it’s alright to go. There’s nothing, essentially, that they can do for him.
I don’t think he’s wanted to linger the last 3 months or so in most respects. I think his reasons for living have evaporated. He doesn’t handle the pain or the confinement well at all. He has not had bladder control since prostrate cancer nearly took him several years ago. Now his bowels are also a mess—in more ways than one.
Not sure what else is going on medically. I do trust my step-sister a lot. She’s well able to insure that everything that can be done is being done.
Thanks tons Citizen Soldier. Amen. Amen. Amen.
Thanks liege, CynicalBear—God’s comfort to you in your grief, too.
Thanks yarddog. I don’t think Dad would have tolerated languishing in a home for 2 years at all well.
Thanks fanfan and all for the prayers and virtual hugs.

Prayers up for you and your dad
Dear Heavenly Father, please bless the family, loved ones and medical staff with Your Presence and Your Grace. All praise to You for Your love and mercy! In Jesus’ Holy and Healing Name, Amen.

*For both of you.
I will also be praying for your father and you and your family, sorry to hear he has such suffering, but it is wonderful to read he has peace with others and God. May God bless you all and grant graces on him as he passes from this world to the eternal home God has prepared for him. Father, I offer up this man’s suffering to You and ask You and all his loved ones who have already passed on before him be there to greet him and lead him to heaven to dwell with You and all the angels and saints forever. Amen.
Prayers up..
