54 days per year maximum good time...vested at end of each year....if you can keep it

With his mouth?

they compound the 54 days based on 360 day years since fed guidelines are months not years

Hence 5-6 days per year outside of good time build and have to be paid

It’s a screwy way to calculate in their favor but in Blagos case he will have 2 months built in over the 168 months he will do even if he gets all good time.....unlikely btw....he will likely get some disciplinary “shot”

It does sound pretty close to 12 years. That surprises me.

I have said that I think roughly eight years should be about right for this sort of thing.

What he did was definitely government corruption. I haven’t read all the charges, so perhaps I’m not addressing a certain reality that causes others to think 12-14 is more like it.

It was eighteen felony counts. I’m not sure what is benefited by 12 vs 8 years. The message an eight year sentence sends, is as clear as the 12 year message.

Participating in government corruption, a really stupid idea.

BTW: Thanks for the information on the time off for good behavior. I appreciate it.
