Perhaps it would’ve been more prudent to program it to self-destruct in the event of lost communications.

If they are so sensitive why don’t they have a destruct option?
Load that critical stuff with some thermite.

So they can`t program it to use it`s path thus far to reverse course in case of signal loss??? Or maybe program it to return to coordinates in that event?? I guess they could auto-destruct in some cases...Somebody has some splainin` to do..and some changes to make.
total fail...

Question -
here we have a machine that can drop precision bomb on a target while being operated by someone on the other side of the world - why is there no ‘destruct’ button?????
Maybe just another “gift’ to out enemies from the Traitor in Chief?

programmed to fly level and find a place to land, rather than crashingWhat the hay?? It isn't programmed to self-destruct? It is programmed to courteously turn itself over to our enemies? At least 15 years ago it required Clinton to give our secrets away to the Chinese. Now our technology does it all by itself. This is insane. Or is this just Obama further gutting US defense?

I wonder two things:
1. I wonder if this was intentional and the bird in question is a spoof.
2. I wonder why drones are not equipped with a very small detonator which can be remotely activated to destroy the craft.

Next time, the designers (who might as well be hanging their hats in China or India performing outsourced jobs) oughta read FR for great ideas on how these machines should be programmed, as evidenced by the great ideers on this very thread. Stupid designers! They should of!

This is a political payoff to somebody. A nice way to betray our country. Thank you Barack Hussein Obama. I will personally water the flowers on your memorial, for this wonderful act of “diplomacy”.
