Why is an endorsement of Specter, 7 years ago at the behest of party and president, ‘unpardonable,’ but Newt’s endoresement of Scozzafava only 2 years ago is just peachy?
Worse, Sphincter was a SENATOR and only one of 100, with a six-year stay in office. I think in terms of impact it's a big difference. But the question was why people are not excited about Santorum and I gave you some answers.
The other BIG reason that people are more excited about Newt than Santorum is that every single time Newt has been given a platform he has attacked OBAMA, while others (including Santorum) bobbed and weaved (think of the answer on the "gay" soldier). If Santorum had kept half as much attention on Obama as Newt has, he'd be in the top tier.
