Seriously, can someone explain to me why Santorum is unexeptable to 95%+ of Republican primary voters?
Just because he got his head handed to him in a purple/blue state during a horrendous GOP yr(’06). Do that many find him unelectable?
Help me here guys.
I just don’t like him personally, something about him makes me not like him, I can’t explain it beyond that.
First, as a personality he is uninspiring. I love most of his views, but he doesn’t move me to action. Second, it is significant that an INCUMBENT (you can’t downplay that) conservative lost. Third, he endorsed Sphincter-—an unpardonable sin.
At the risk of appearing uninformed, I'll just go ahead and admit it. I don't know Santorum. I've never followed him, and know only what I see other Freepers report about him.
From what I can tell, the consensus (not just here) is a thumbs down.
The biggest deal-breaker for me, is that the guy's track is as a legislator, not a chief executive (such as a Governor or CEO).
For me personally, I never took his entry into the race seriously and I still don’t. Some pundits called Herman Cain’s a “vanity run”, but I think Santorum’s is a vanity run.
He’s running as a defeated US Senator for crying out loud. How lackluster can you get?
