If I thought he had the slightest chance, any chance whatsoever, Rick Santorum would be my candidate.
That being said, the last thing that would help his campaign would be a "LINCOLN-DOUGLAS STYLE DEBATE" with Gingrich. The thing that is holding him back with more moderate Republicans is the perception that he is perpetually angry. Gingrich would play to that.
That’s what everyone was saying about Cain, if he could win, I’d vote for him.
Now’s not the time to play to polls, go with the candidate who most closely aligns with your beliefs then let the chips fall where they may.
As would I, but America has shifted wayyy too far leftward for a guy like Santorum to ever have a chance of winning the general election.
Much as we wish they might, some things are simply never going to happen.
