Nope, not really...and I'll tell you why. MCAT, EC's, GPA's get you into medical school, they don't make you a doctor. The 'doctor' part comes after the Step I's, Step 2's, Residency, Fellowships, Board Certs, and continuing education.
As to whom is 'best' after that? that's a personal call isn't it?

“Eye surgery ~ when you have something really, really, really bad (supraorbital retinal tear, full detachment for example) they send in the Asian males ~”
Sounds like a plan to me...

Yea, I know there’s a lot more to being a doc than just getting into medical school...but that is the first gate.

Dr. Sowell has written extensively on this. Often colleges are judged by their admissions rates rather than their graduation rates. Thus many students are admitted to colleges in which they have no capability to compete against the other students with a couple hundred points better SATs and drop out after a semester or two. If the prestigious colleges dip further into the pool of students to hit their numbers, then the less prestigious colleges have to dip even further into their pool. None of the students are matched with their schools and all are harmed. Is it better to be a Harvard drop out or a graduate from a decent state college?
(sorry if the multi-posts. FR is acting goofy this morning)

Right, sorry... I meant to say the 18-yr-old American student is going to face unfair competition and cheating by PRC enrollees from the moment he enters the university. If he sticks around long enough and goes to graduate school, he will find himself in class with Chinese math professors,or physics professors, or engineering professors, etc.
