ASPEN — Brooke Mueller, ex-wife of actor Charlie Sheen, was arrested shortly after midnight Saturday at an Aspen nightclub and charged with third-degree misdemeanor assault and felony possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
At approximately 11:32 p.m. Friday, Aspen Police Department officers were doing a routine walk-through at Belly Up Aspen when a woman reported that an assault had taken place. Police said the woman identified the culprit as Mueller, who was found shortly after midnight at the dance club Escobar.
Mueller was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, a class-four felony, and third-degree assault, a class-one misdemeanor, authorities said.
Police initially declined to say how much cocaine was allegedly in Mueller's possession or provide details of the assault report at Belly Up, where a Sublime tribute band was performing.
