Ask Tim Tebow to speak and one thing is certain chances are good that the outspoken Christian quarterback for the Denver Broncos will talk about his love for Jesus.
Quotes from Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow's "Iron sharpens iron" pre-game speech before the San Diego Chargers game last week is making the rounds in the sports world, November 2011.
It is so clear that Tebow will not shy away from interjecting his faith at any opportunity that sports reporters now seem more accustomed to him including Scripture references and game-life applications coming from the Bible in locker room post-game interviews.
Even more amazing, reporters and sports analysts are leading their broadcasts and stories with Tebows Scripture references.
On Monday, after the Broncos overtime win over the San Diego Chargers on Sunday, Denver Post sports writer Mark Kiszla wrote in his lead, the opening paragraph: Quarterback Tim Tebow no longer prints Bible verses on his eye black, but the Broncos believe what their quarterback is preaching. On the eve of Denver's 16-13 overtime victory against San Diego, Tebow's message to teammates was Proverbs 27:17.

I follow football closely and have heard that Proverb quoted about 500 times from various coaches over the years.
Bump
Then we must each start with ourselves.
Yes, he’s copying Christ. Try it!
If a man cannot be a Christian in the place where he is,
He cannot be a Christian anywhere.— Henry Ward Beecher p.42 note 33 America’s God and Country. I weary of those who insist a Christian dare not be a Christian lest they offend the unbeliever. A christian doctrine that does not offend the darkness isn’t worth much is it?
I’m from Alabama and love Tebow. I remember one time the corporate wonks came to the warehouse where I worked. They were shocked that some of the workers had Biblical quotes on their work stations. They wanted it stopped. We told them that considering most of the folks also had a bible in their work station they might reconsider. They got the picture and hurried out of there, muttering something about “hicks”.
Me too! If Denver doesn’t want him I would love to see him in DC next year.
There are many believers in the NFL. Anyone who has actually been to a live game has surely seen players of each team, sometimes as one group, on their knees before, after the game, and most especially when a brother in arms is down on the field. Tebow’s insistence on continuing his vocal praise on TV is about the only way a Christian can raise his middle finger at his detractors. Personally, I love it!
Yes, the Force is strong with this one.
I have an autograph from Largent from way back in the ‘80s. He included a bible verse with his signature.
vote for Tebow for All-Pro team.
To me it’s a message that this is the kind of athlete I very much appreciate.
