We the people must demand a more just political process. If someone is going to talk about another person’s character, they must have irrefutable proof and not just their word. The people should demand this and so should the media. A political campaign should address the many troubling issues facing the nation and not have to waste its resources defending meaningless allegations.
We must demand that the media reports on the issues, and let us see the platforms of the candidates. In the face of these attacks, on Mr. Cain and other presidential hopefuls, I’m inclined to find that Tabloid Justice is indeed blind, but far from objective.

I listened to Hannity for the first time in a long while yesterday and almost threw up at his “There is NO PERFECT CANDIDATE” mantra when someone would fire off about Newt.
Hannity is a moron.
We should dismiss Cain for his (ALLEGED) imperfections and dismiss Newt’s REAL and MANY ones?
Whatever.
I must have missed the section in the Bible about not telling your wife about such. One can give alms while still making sure your wife will not get surprised by later revelations - especially when you plan to run for president and know you will be scrutinized to the nth degree.
You might want to rethink that....I have two children and both are lawyers....very conservative lawyers.
One of them is working behind the scenes in republican campaigns, pro bono. Plus, there is a very real need for our side to have a bank of lawyers to counter the dems dirty tricks come election day.
Innocent until proven guilty. He doesn’t have to prove innocence, and he can’t prove a negative no matter how extraordinary he is.

And the fact that you are willing to concoct any conceivable thing without any proof to make Cain a victim makes you a true believer. The irony of making up stories without evidence, while complaining about accusations without evidence, is just too funny.

Well, tell me again how this was unavoidable by Cain. He could have sat down with his wife when he decided to run for president and put this on the table at that time.
He didn't. What was he thinking? Was he the least bit cognizant of the fact that this could and probably would come out later?
It was an unforced error on his part, and one that calls into question his sense that he needs to be forthcoming to present himself as an alternative to someone like Newt.
I'm sorry, I thought you might understand that secrets such as this usually cause problems when they are brought out into the light.
Kind of making a joke, I thought. I know some good attorneys as well, and I know that there are many others out there, but still, there are whose hand I will not shake.
No offense meant on a personal level though.
Never forget how the MSM fought hard to keep Breck Boy's love child under the radar while Mrs. Edwards was battling terminal cancer. The MSM is working overtime these days to paint Mr. Cain as a womanizer and misogynist.

That is a prime example of why you should never become emotionally involved with a political candidate.
Don’t fall until you see the whites of their lies.
Usually, I am way too wordy in my posts!!! So....here’s a shorty!!! Herman Cain should stay in the POTUS race for these compelling reasons. Blacks, Hispanics, All Minorities, Whites, The Country, Freedom, Liberty, Education, Opportunity, Equality, Individual Effort, Security at home & abroad....and....making the USA, once again, the number one & greatest nation in the world, just the opposite of what the traitor, POTUS, “Dirt Bag” Barack Hussein Obama has done!!!
And then he doubled down on that mistake by not coming clean with his wife when he decided to run for the GOP nomination.
I hate the idea that the MSM will feel they have another trophy on their wall to put up next to Palin and Quayle and others against which they have waged their campaigns of slime.
But IMO this latest revelation by Cain himself was entirely avoidable, yet he did not understand or did not care that he needed to address it in advance because of the doubt it would sow if it came out during the campaign.
