Sean Hannity asks Sarah Palin if the GOP primary has come down to a two-person race. Her answer? "I don't think it has come down solidly to Newt versus Romney, no, not yet, because there is still a lot of fluid dynamic going on in this race. And if voters shifted gears and decided that they wanted ideological consistency, then they're going to start paying attention to say, Rick Santorum."

This is going to pop some balloons from those who were just sure that Palin was going to endorse Newt.
I've been ticked off at Rick for years over his Specter endorsement of Toomey, and his occasional tendency to "reach across the aisle" in the Senate, but at this point, I'll take him over RINOs Romney, Newt, Perry, and Huntsman.
Cain's probably toast after his wife finishes with him tonight, and so here we are.
And then there is this:
GOP hopeful Rick Santorum Campaigns with a seriously ill daughter at home
Wow. Palin makes an offhand compliment for someone left standing and picks Santorum out of her mind resulting in the blogosphere erupting.
And Newt’s not?
That’s about the size of it.
It's sad that the GOP is going into an election against such a weak incumbent with an even weaker bench.
That’s because they are getting picked off one at a time and we are falling for it.
What a crock.
I watched the ENTIRE interview, live.
Palin pointed out positive things about each of the GOP candidates. She DID NOT endorse Rick Santorum. Palin has NOT endorsed any candidate. She did not say anything that we didn’t already know about Santorum.... he will NEVER climb to the top.
But she did say that he was the most consistent Conservative ideologically. No?
I agree 100%.
I think Palin will endorse Perry, leaving Bachmann to endorse Romeny or Newt.
It would surprise if they both endorsed the same candidate.
Santorum & Backmann will not make the cut after the early primaries.
I actually disagree in that I think everyone on the Republiban bench is stronger than Obama. They might not be ideal but the media hasn’t vetted Obama the way they have gone after the Repub bench.

Many people in FR are implying Palin is a liar or buffoon. For these freepers, the race is settled between the two liberals and they are fine with it.
I think Palin is telling the truth. This race is not settled. For one thing, Santorum has a real chance in Iowa.
Besides, he is actual conservative.
When I heard her say that I told myself that there would prolly be headlines galore declaring “Palin Endorses Santorum!”
You’re going to need a couple more folks to help you out with your apparent push for Santorum.
“Results from an American Research Group poll of likely GOP primary voters in Florida: Newt Gingrich (50 percent), Mitt Romney (19 percent), Herman Cain (10 percent), Jon Huntsman (3 percent), Rick Perry and Ron Paul (2 percent), Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum, and Buddy Roemer (1 percent).”

Well, maybe it’s not all bad, after all, Santorum is tied with Michele Bachmann, and Buddy Roemer. Heck, any minute he could break through and be tied with Rick Perry and Ron Paul.
LOOK, Palin’s primary point was that ANY of our candidates are better than Obama and that we simply MUST win against Obama.
Of all the candidates in the race, Santorum’s views match mine more closely than any of the other candidates. But sadly, there are many here who will forgo conservative viewpoints in favor of someone who gives good history lectures.
Well if Sanatorum got some traction that he’s even on the ticket others might have stayed the course with him...he flatlined and it doesn’t look like he’s even got the time now to rise above that, short of a serious God injection somewhere.
The PDS'ers have been doing that since September 2008.
This is the sad truth.
Well, in less than a month, some real voters will get together and make their decision.
