I don’t like Cain saying he did nothing wrong, if he did ever sleep with her. But if he chose to be private yet invasive, I could still support him, even if he slept with her foryears.
I’d like to hear him say something about causing pain in his marriage or some such. I do not want details. I want something to shut up the media no matter whom they find next.
And I’d like him to shed sunlight on the dank secret of attacking republicans while Dems get a pass every time. If they feel this chick is worthy of investigation, investigate the very believable Larry Sinclair. He’s articulate, with all details, names, receipts, etc.

If the guy slept with her, I agree that it would be best to be honest about it. An affair is not the end of the world, although I don’t condone it one bit. There are families where the spouse looks the other way for whatever reason, but I think that is destructive. It’s a terrible way to live, no matter how much one person has convinced themselves that it isn’t.
I agree with your additional comments too. The Democrats, the media, and even the RNC needs to be called out on what they sign on to, or look the other way about.
