I have not previously read or heard of such an accusation.

If the bimbo eruptions on Cain are real, then he’s done and gone. He was barely viable to start with. I think Newt is simply another Icarus. If he’s our candidate it will be hard going. I know, Kit cat; I am fully aware that my wife is simply falling for the Media’s crap sandwich of the week, instigated by the Chicago machine. That is exactly why I mention it because she’s not easy to sway in this race. But the simple truth is she can’t get past this idea that Cain, by his own words, is financially assisting, ‘and then who knows what else’, some local bimbo without his wife’s knowledge. Just trying to defend it, with few available facts, gets ME in trouble. This will cost many conservative women’s votes if it is not made very clear if in fact Cain’s wife knew all about Cain’s assisting this and other “friends”.

I’ve seen other posts here suggesting this financial assistance is the result Cain’s community outreach or ministry. If this is so, I’ve seen no evidence from Cain. If it is this easy to explain then it should not be very difficult to put his wife in front to put it to rest. It’s not an easy choice, but it would help him a great deal. It’s enough for ME that he says this woman’s allegations are not true. Others, unfortunately, will want something more than his word alone. It is in this way, that former President Clinton and current resident Obama have injured our presidential politics. Outright lies are now the expectation. “I did not have ... “.

Cain needs to find a way to dampen doubt of his character, regardless of it’s source. His family and trust in God will be his strongest defense. I want Cain to win. To do so he must stay in. To stay in he must put all his strength forward.

Thank you, yes. I am sure that, as a deeply Christian man, Herman Cain is answering God’s plan for his life and I hope that that he will continue to obey Him.

If the guy slept with her, I agree that it would be best to be honest about it. An affair is not the end of the world, although I don’t condone it one bit. There are families where the spouse looks the other way for whatever reason, but I think that is destructive. It’s a terrible way to live, no matter how much one person has convinced themselves that it isn’t.

I agree with your additional comments too. The Democrats, the media, and even the RNC needs to be called out on what they sign on to, or look the other way about.
