After reports surfaced Tuesday morning that pizza magnate Herman Cain is reassessing his 2012 Republican presidential nomination bid, POLITICO obtained a statement from a Cain campaign spokesman regarding his candidates consideration of dropping out of the race.
Yes, the campaign spokesman said Tuesday when asked whether Cain would definitely remain in the race.
The clarification comes after the National Review Online released statements that Cain made in a conference call with campaign aides Tuesday morning. During the call, Cain made the following statements, We have to do an assessment as to whether or not this is going to create too much of a cloud, in some peoples minds, as to whether or not they would be able to support us going forth, Cain said.

" Reports trucks outside Cains Iowa offices delivering yard signs...."
Perhaps he has told his people that he's not going to quit but, double his efforts and fight !
Perhaps he told his people to ramp up the campaign in Iowa and get ready for the long haul fight.

From your Fox News link:
"She showed us some of her cell phone bills that included 61 phone calls or text messages to or from a number starting with 678. She says it is Herman Cain's private cell phone. The calls were made during four different months-- calls or texts made as early as 4:26 in the early morning, and as late as 7:52 at night."
Thanks for the info, but I'm not reading anything into "calls or texts made as early as 4:26 in the early morning..."
Cain could have simply left her a text message to reply to a text from the previous evening. No doubt, the man has kept an early schedule with the hectic life he's led.

Hes dead Jim has become a joke my family has made for the past few years in many different contexts. I thought it was funny. And your failure to find it funny is hugh and series.
You weren't trying to be funny, and you know it. So does everyone else who read that comment.
"Hugh and series"? What's your former FR handle?

How do you know what my intent was? Check my tagline. I still stand by Cain.
I’ve read this site for well longer than you’ve been a member.
Don’t suppose that you speak for the rest of the FR community. And the foregoing is not meant to be funny. Do ya get it bubba?

I'm not an automatic Herman Cain supporter, just wanting the truth ...
OK ... so the Woman trotts out with a semi-private cell phone number, belonging to a man (and wife) who had helped her out finacially for some years ...
"That" doesn't consistute a Smoking Gun in her alleged claim to a 13-year long Sexual Affair.
Text messages ?
"If" ... and it's a gigantic "IF" ... they were Steamy and Salacious ... those text messages (ALL OF THEM) would have been printed on Page One of the New York Slimes and Washington Compost ...
"Funny", I reflected ... that hasn't happened ...
Then there are the "missing" Sexual Rendevous Dates and Locations ...
WHY hasn't she produced that ?
That should have been the FIRST thing that she presented the News Media ...
Something like this:
A) New York, Manhattan Hilton, Room 234, 12-13 December 2002
B) New Orleans, Marriott, Room 145, 1-4 May 2004
C) Tampa, Westchase Hotel, Room 2389, 16 August 2005
"Where" is this evidence ? Another "Politico Journalistic Secret" ???
Herman Cain really isn't ready for Prime Time ... even though I like him a lot, and have donated to his campaign ...
BUT ... between his Foreign Policy gaffes, and quite ameturistc handling of these past allegation ... I AM worried about him ...
Worried about Herman's character ? Absolutely NOT !
But I'm SURE that Herman's received GREAT ADVICE from people ... that I suspect that he's arrogantly ignored ...
That would include SERIOUS study of Geo-Political events, history and issues ...
That would also include (honestly) POOR HANDLING of these (false) allegations ...
========================================
Herman Cain ... the "reassessment" that you need is to STOP ignoring good advice ...

I dont really care about the times. Id rather be interested in what the texts actually said. There seems to be no attempt by the MSM to release any actual correspondence that took place. So you want the state-run media to trample on Herman Cain's right to privacy? How would you feel if some news outlet decided to release the text of your private communications?
Geeez Louise! Did I take a wrong turn and land at DU?

Thank God! I’ve been praying for Cain and his family today. Asking God to thwart the enemy; expose the truth. I would be extremely disappointed in my own impression of Cain if he did drop out - he seems strong mentally and spiritually and he’s a power-lifter in terms of successful experience given his resume.
I admire and respect Hermain Cain. This would change if any of the sudden rash of unsubstantiated floozy reports from the past month (and I love how the next vid after the Blitzer/Cain interview is of the latest accuser, titled “I Have no Reason to Lie” as if that statement blinds to her extremely shady history with prior business partner, employers, landlords, et al) were proven, but at this point I presume Mr. Cain is innocent until proven guilty.

Dude! Youre about 30 minutes late on that lame crack. It really wasn't a lame crack, and I called you out on a racially-tinged comment, separate from the first one you made.
You're pushing an envelope you might want to back off from here.

Nothing like releasing and publishing 26,000+ emails for everyone to search and rummage through is there?
Yes, indeed, that's precisely what Sarah Palin had to endure and what did the lamestream learn?
Only that she was a hard working, completely honest Governor.
It's getting really sickening when we think we're supposed to be privy to everything, yet the Republican Congress can't get Obama’s White House to furnish the Solyndra emails under subpoena.

A cult, in mt estimation is a “religion” where the social and political aspects outweigh the theological.
Mormonism fits that description.
