Washington - Herman Cain's polling numbers have been falling. The allegations of sexual harassment have taken a toll. So, DCDecoder wasn't even sure it was worth posting about the latest embarrassing revelation to hit the Cain campaign.

But this particular detail - where Ginger White, the woman claiming to have had a 13-year adulterous relationship with Herman Cain, gives the reporters from Fox 5 in Atlanta her cell phone bill and the reporters text one of the numbers and get a callback from Cain himself - was just too much to pass up.

Accordting to Fox TV 5 in Atlanta:

She [Ginger White] showed us some of her cell phone bills that included 61 phone calls or text messages to or from a number starting with 678. She says it is Herman Cain’s private cell phone. The calls were made during four different months— calls or texts made as early as 4:26 in the early morning, and as late as 7:52 at night. The latest were in September of this year.

“We’ve never worked together,” said White. “And I can’t imagine someone phoning or texting me for the last two and a half years, just because.”

We texted the number and Herman Cain called us back. He told us he “knew Ginger White” but said these are “more false allegations.” He said she had his number because he was “trying to help her financially.”

The calls were made during four different months — calls or texts made as early as 4:26 in the early morning, and as late as 7:52 at night. The latest were in September of this year.

So in over 120 days, he may have texted her every couple of days. Wow.

1. that's once every couple of days
2. it's possible he texted from the West Coast, where it was much later, and knew she'd see it later
3. he may have been responding to some light hearted comment she made, essentially about next to nothing
4. If he texted her back and forth about ten times, that means that they weren't texting all that often.
5. He may have texted her about information six times in four months, where the conversation discussed her needs or to help her out.

The story goes, she came forth with this tale because women were out there claiming abuse, and so she, never having experienced abuse, had to come forth to tell about the affair. Wow. What logic.

This guy supposedly has a thirteen year affair with you, gives you some form of financial support, and then you turn on him and try to destroy him?

What's wrong with this picture?

God’s basic laws, The 10 Commandments… Thou shall not kill.

Killing isn’t just by knife or gun. Slander, gossip, lies about another is murder also.

Notice how they don’t tell us anything about what any of the texts say. I’m betting they’re mostly from her and say stuff like “Hi Herman, it’s me again. I could really use another loan to help pay my mortgage/electric bill/or whatever”.

Look at how he autographed her books:

“Miss G, you have already made a ‘big difference!’ Stay focused as you pursue your next destination” in one, and “Friends are forever! Everything else is a bonus” in the other.

That doesn’t look like something someone would say to a lover.

Good point. Bearing false witness comes in there too.

That would be about 30 text to Herman and 30 responses from Herman over 4 months.

For the math disabled; that would be just 7 one-way text messages per MONTH.

Why is this an issue?

She has 61 calls made to an exchange that may or maynot be his number...and the calls or either to or from. which means she could have made the majority of calls...and over a four month period. Where's compelling proof at all? Where's compelloing evidence of a 13 year affair? There isn't any..

Over the last four months as she has seen what is going on, and being in financial difficulty, it is not hard to imagine her setting Cain up, or someone using her to do so.

I believe Cain. I believe he tried to help this person, and he is being repaid with a knife in the back.

I believe he intends to stay in the race, and based on what the aid says about the phone call, that he has been misquoted. He was assessing the campaign and the damage, not reassessing whether to stay in.

He still has my support.

People with jaded backgrounds and financial difficulties are being used to try and bring him down. There has not been one shred of proof that Hermain Cain did anything other than what he has said. Until there is compelling proof...and I do not believe there ever will be...I am taking these attacks as the hatchet jobs I believe they are.

...and sticking with Herman Cain.

So, 61 calls in 4 months = 1 call every other day.

If there was a 13 year affair, why all the calls in 4 months? Maybe they were friends for 13 years, and she had personal problems those 4 months. Cain's wife would know. She probably got calls, too, since she was a friend of Ginger's, as well. And, I haven't decided who to support at this time, though I do like Cain and Bachmann.

Those are sweet autographs!

I’m a married woman who has many male friends and I text, write and call them all the time (as they do me). This is the modern world - not Saudi Arabia or some other Islamic hell hole. Men and women can be friends, colleagues and mentors. This is what the USA is all about!

Go, Mr. Cain, go!

Believe it or not, there are TVs in the back seats of NYC taxicabs, providing diversion and advertising. They almost always show "human interest" trash.

Tonight, CAIN RECONSIDERING WHITE HOUSE BID was the first item. Clearly the Powers That Be want the Black Republican o_u_t.

Time for White to pony-up. What exactly was written in these texts and messages and how many were "from" Cain? Once again the media is "reporting without the facts" which means they have an agenda they'd rather keep covered up. *Some* conservatives may still be falling for this "borking" routine. But there is good news. The media has taught us not to trust them blindly and we are reading between the lines today. This too shall pass.

Weird, isn’t it? Many Cain supporters here want to suspend reality..they are starting to remind me of Ron Paul’s fan(atics)..

So, is this the sum total of the evidence of a 13 year sexual affair?

Ahem coughbullshitcough Ahem!

Right, who called or texted who in this case? What did the texts say? It’s preposterous to believe someone had a big relationship based on a phone bill.

I can think of about 1000 questions I would have asked this woman, and it seems they asked her none of them?
