In a conference call this morning, Herman Cain told his senior staff that he is reassessing whether to remain in the race

—As long as Socialism remains protected, Gods providence is ignored (and subsequently, withdrawn).—
I think you may have a valid point there. I look at revelation 18 with more and more interest lately.
Frankly, I dont get this. Why is it ok for Newt to have multiple affairs, but a whiff of one from Cain, and hes reassessing his campaign?
None of the candidates are perfect, but I predict that if Cain is forced out because of adultery, the media will come after Newt with a vengance on the same issue.

That’s an easy prediction to make. Especially since it’s allready happening. And it’s not just the media that’d attacking Newt. It’s us conservatives.
Newt is just the flavor of the month. By year end... he’ll be in the also-ran heap with Cain, Perry, Palin, Bachmann, etc. etc.
AT this point, I am hoping for a convention fight. I’d like to see a convention where DeMint, Allen and others can throw their names into the hat.
“But who in their right mind will ever want to run for president? You’d have to start planning when you are like 12 years old and make sure you never make a wrong move.
Not what the founders had in mind.”
Dueling was legal then. Smears are the weapons of those who are weak, cowardly or both. Smears could get you called out, and killed. Social shunning had real effect then, too.
So far, all the accusers just have hear say. You're right...where's the actual evidence?
Why has she been evicted six times if Mr. Cain is - supposedly - "taking care" of her?
Oh, I'll even one-up your "worse" by pointing out that Romney would have little to no coattails, meaning the House and Senate will not be significantly more conservative than they are now.
I dunno, maybe because she's an invalid??
Cain said he had never been inappropriate with anyone. My wife of 40 some years over & over as if that was proof of his character because of his loyalty to his wife. THEN, to have a relationship with a woman for 13 years, (whatever the nature of it was) is just hypocritical.
Newt at least got divorces and then married his girlfriends.
I just want a candidate worth voting for. Mitt & Newt are not.
“Frankly, I dont get this. Why is it ok for Newt to have multiple affairs,...”
Because when and if Newty grabs the nomination...its all you and I will hear about from the MSM 24/7.....
True, but this is FR. Guess we’ll have to wait and see which world is right.
If there anything I've learned in my time on this earth is when broke, unemployed women who have a history of filing harrassment complaints and also have libel judgments against them make accusations they have no inherant credibility and are probably lying.
“Im voting for whomever can stop more liberal Justices. Hoping (relatively speaking at this point) its Perry, but yeah, Ill vote for Willard if it comes to that. For the Court.”
Which illustrates that the judiciary has become entirely too powerful. The Founders erred terribly with respect to the federal judiciary, which has been embezzling power since 1803.
Did I miss something? Is this accurate?I agree with you on Perry or Bachmann but I'd settle for Gingrich over RomneyCare.
Is there any rule that says he must debate Obama? If Newt gets the nomination I would bet Obama will not debate.
Perry could just say he is not a good debater. There are a lot of folks that freeze when speaking to an group of people.
Sorry, but if you’re exchanging 60+ text/phone calls over a 4 month period with someone of the opposite sex you’re not related to, and not working with, something is going on.
A lot of people feel the same way but when I think back to the 2008 debates I'm not worried. McCain held his own with obama and Perry is much better prepared than McCain. Also if perry and obama meet it will be man to man. Not Perry against the moderator and everyone else on the stage.
I agree.
Next headline: Cain pulls out early.
