Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t an “embassy” considered the occupied territory of the country it represents? Dozens, or perhaps 300 as some reports indicate seems to be an invasion onto British soil and I don’t see one firearm used by the Brits.
The way I see it, anyone who is seen breaking and entering the embassy should be mowed down with automatic weapons while an ambassador or representative is on the phone with Tehran explaining that the Iranian government needs to control its people or be prepared for many bodies.
I think the sovereign territory thing went out about the same time as the notion of treason and sedition—when the communists want to make use of them, they’ll be back.
