Why would she have access to Cain’s cell number and why did they maintain such a long friendship IF she was or is such a low life?p Why would Cain give her money? Without his wife’s knowledge ??? How much and when ? And if Cain used campaign or PAC money , this could get even messier. “ The GOP candidate said White had the number because he had provided financial assistance to her.” http://blogs.ajc.com/political-insider-jim-galloway/2011/11/28/fox-5-report-to-accuse-herman-cain-of-13-year-affair/

“Here we go again,” Cain said Monday to Blitzer. “We will basically show, when the details become available, that I didn’t do anything wrong.” When the details become available ??? A married man who has a personal relationship with a woman for 13 years ( unbeknownst to his wife and family ) and who gives her money has already done something wrong. Even if it was platonic .

Kudos on the sound analysis: in short, what has already been admitted by Cain appears to constitute inappropriate behavior:

1. He had a 13 year "friendship" with a woman, yet oddly his wife knew nothing of her existence. If I had a 13 year "friendship" with someone of the opposite sex that I never mentioned to my wife, I know well-and-good what would be going on.

2. They called each other, according to one account, over 60 times in a 4-month period. For those of you who can't do the math, that's once every other day - for months on end. That's a pretty odd "friendship" with a woman that your wife knows nothing about, isn't it? Oh - and at least one of those calls was at a strange hour to be calling a "friend" of the opposite sex - 4:30AM. The fact that his wife did not know he was talking on the phone in the middle of the night with a female "friend" raises more red flags.

3. Cain said something about wanting to help the woman out financially. Once again, here is a man who has a 13-year relationship with a woman that his wife knows nothing about, and to whom he is (or is apparently seeking to) giving money to. Red flags all around, folks. But that also works against Cain's credibility, for if the woman was indeed emotionally unstable, what the heck was he doing having a 13-year relationship with her, calling her in the middle of the night, and admitting that he wanted to help her out financially? Sheer altruism, i.e., out of the goodness of his heart?

The allegations may well be proven to be false, and the man is innocent until proven guilty. However, the above indicates a pattern of questionable - to say the least - behavior.

You always so gullible? First off you're not telling the truth. The report said 61 calls OR texts TO OR FROM them. Not calling each other 61 times. Report also said she has harassed someone before with texts and calls to the point the person requested a restraining order. NO evidence when Cain called or texted her - how many times, time of day, etc. But hey keep kneejerking to media reports and spreading the lies

...One more thing - this 4:30 call (which as far as I know Cain has not denied) is actually very revealing.

If it turns out that Cain initiated the call, then anyone with a shred of sound judgment knows there's no way that's gonna wash.

But if the woman initiated the call, that doesn't let Cain off the hook. Here's why: a woman who calls a man in the middle of the night feels a certain, shall we say, "familiarity" with the man. If it's not her Dad or her brother, then it's like the woman who saw Reilly Hunter's body language with John Edwards on a video showing the two of them together, and turned to her husband and said: "Oh he's #$%3#43 her!"

There's just certain things you don't do & ways you don't act if you're not intimate with someone: and phone calls in the middle of the night are one of them.

Put another way, there's no good reason for a woman to call a man who's not her father or brother or campaign manager in the middle of the night.

All you Male Cain supporters out there. Have your wife read the above posted by tjd1454. Then ask her if this were you instead of Cain, what would she say to you about it?

“It’s ok honey, I trust you”. “I know you two are just “friends”. “How sweet of you to give her our money”. “How nice of you to console her over the phone late at night”. “I don’t mind that you had a SECRET, FEMALE, friend for over thirteen years, how nice”. “Is she free for church and dinner this Sunday? I’d love to meet her”.

I’m sure your wife’s comment is in there somewhere, right?

Helping someone financially, may be helping them out with a job. She was being evicted again and had been evicted many times before. He may have also given her some money.

I gave an old handy man some extra money (more than once)until I realized he was lying to me.

She may have been using Cain and others to help her out.

Ronald Reagan had a pen-pal who had been a member of his fan club when he was an actor. He wrote to her over a very long period of time (50 years), even when he was president. Sometimes you know people that your spouse has not met and you consider a friend. If she had been like this woman, she could have made those letters from Reagan into something they were not.

Herman Cain picked the wrong friend to help. I've done the same thing in my life. You try to help someone who uses your friendship.

Your summation is not accurate. For the record this is how it was origianlly reported here:

She showed us some of her cell phone bills that included 61 phone calls or text messages to or from a number starting with 678. She says it is Herman Cain's private cell phone. The calls were made during four different months-- calls or texts made as early as 4:26 in the early morning, and as late as 7:52 at night. The latest were in September of this year.
So, let's examine this:
  1. The reporter says there were 61 phone calls and text messages. He doesn't say how many of each.
  2. The reporter doesn't tell us how many were from Herman Cain.
  3. The reporter doesn't tell us how many originated from Ginger White.
  4. The calls/texts were not over a 4 month period, but during four different months. What's the time frame? A year? Two years? Five years? It's not specified.
  5. Was it a phone call or a text at 4:26 am?
  6. Was the phone call or text at 4:26 am to or from Herman Cain. The reporter doesn't say.
  7. A short session of texting could easily consume 10-20 texts.
In my opinion the reporter was intentionally vague to make it appear more sensational.
