I once worked with a female with the same ethic........she threatened her way upwards into a monthly management position that she was totally unqualified for and within months left the company on disability leaving a long trail of complaints against her.
That worked out for both parties, she was gone and the company was satisfied in paying her the disability payments which saved us from firing her then having to deal with the EEOC, the NAACP and lawyers.

All things Cain did with this woman of questionable ethic. Nah, nothing strange about that!
