ATLANTA, Ga. - An Atlanta businesswoman is breaking her silence, claiming she has been involved in a 13-year-long affair with Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain.

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, FOX 5 senior I-Team reporter Dale Russell sat down with Ginger White, who had an amazing story to tell.

The only records that this woman has are phone records where she called Herman Cain’s phone 60+ times in the past year or so.

What we know of the phone records doesn't reflect which calls originated from her and which originated from Herman Cain. Cell phone records reflect both incoming and outgoing calls. All we know at this point is that she has a record of 60+ calls between her and Mr. Cain during that period; we haven't been given a breakdown of how many originated from her.

I noticed that this woman has some lawsuit issues with other people. Why do all these women have lawsuit issues and why are they all from the NRA? He has to know women from outside of this association. It’s just weird that every new accusation has to sound worse than the last, when the last one doesn’t pan out.

There are just too many women involved here for this to be some orchestrated conspiracy.

Why? Isn't that exactly how an orchestrated conspiracy is supposed to work? Soros writes the checks, and needy floozies go public.

Of course, it's possible to over-orchestrate a conspiracy. Maybe this is a last gasp after Cain remained standing after the first wave. But without proper investigation, how do we know? If it's a smear there will be little or no evidence, and what there is will be unconvincing. If it's true, Cain better admit it and try to put it behind him.

This isn't a one-time incident 13 years ago. This is an on-going 13-year affair. If this allegation is true, there must be plenty of evidence out there — phone records, flights, hotel stays, sightings in public, etc. If it isn't true, Cain should deny it, and we should accept his denial unless proper evidence is produced.

When asked if it was fair to say the relationship is going on even now, White said, “I think it is safe to say that after this interview, that will be the end of it. Yes, we have a friendship now.”

She says the physical relationship ended about eight months ago, right before Cain announced he was running for president. But the communication did not. When we asked for any corroborating evidence, she pointed us to her cell phone contacts. One name: Herman Cain.

She showed us some of her cell phone bills that included 61 phone calls or text messages to or from a number starting with 678. She says it is Herman Cain’s private cell phone. The calls were made during four different months— calls or texts made as early as 4:26 in the early morning, and as late as 7:52 at night. The latest were in September of this year.

“We’ve never worked together,” said White. “And I can’t imagine someone phoning or texting me for the last two and a half years, just because.”

We texted the number and Herman Cain called us back. He told us he “knew Ginger White” but said these are “more false allegations.” He said she had his number because he was “trying to help her financially.”

She says she planned on keeping the relationship a secret while Cain made his run for the White House until she and her family watched reports of different women who had accused Herman Cain of sexual harassment. She says she was not surprised by the allegations, but was bothered by the way Cain fought back, attacking the woman, including during an appearance on Late Show with David Letterman.

“It bothered me that they were being demonized, sort of, they were treated as if they were automatically lying, and the burden of proof was on them,” White said. “I felt bad for them.”

We received a phone tip from someone who knew Ginger White. That person claimed Ms. White was having an affair with Herman Cain. The tipster also called a number of other national media outlets who reached out to her. White told FOX 5, she felt trapped.

“I wanted to give my side, before it was thrown out there and made out to be something filthy,” said White. “Some people will look at this and say that is exactly what it is. I’m sorry for that.”

And so she talked. Before our interview, we checked into Ginger White’s background. We found she filed a sexual harassment claim against an employer in 2001. That case was settled.

“You would rather vote for a person who supported the Brady Bill rather than a guy who put his arm around a woman?”

LOL! He put much more than an arm around this last one, toots. So, obviously you’d rather have a wife cheater, philanderer, whoremonger, adulterer as President. Well, then you have two choices, Gingrich or Cain.

Doesn’t matter.

They’ve effectively destroyed this fine man. We should all be mad as hell. They are picking our candidates off one at a time, turned us on each other with innuendo and false characterization, trying to maneuver Romney to the nomination so he can be easily defeated by their messiah.

And I’ll single out Michelle Bachmann who has viciously assassinated every single candidate who achieves double digits in the polls...except one: ROMNEY. She is on the payroll of the Romney Sleaze Machine. Count on it.

No matter who is left standing against Romney, we must reject that jackal.

I just don’t get this, Cain is an old man, is he popping viagra like skittles or what?

And this one is so ugly it’s scary, she wouldn’t even look good at 2am with beer goggles on.

All of which (her history) has absolutely nothing to do with her accusations. If they are true then all it proves is that Cain’s judgement is even more greatly impaired than it already seems.

So far the Dems haven't come up with a single CREDIBLE accuser, much less "too many" accusers.

Sorry... no proof, no facts... just another trailer-park person hoping to somehow cash in

but if a Republican sends flirty texts to an aide... its a huge scandal.

First, she wasn’t an aide, she was his mistress. Second, those “flirty messsages” lasted for 13 years. Just sayin...

Someone made the point that L. Lin Wood’s response is worded the way it is because it is a WARNING to the media to back off (as in - there is grounds for a lawsuit).

Whoever said it was warning the media to back off isn't a lawyer. There are no ground to sue the media. To a lawyer, Lin Wood's response reads like an admission. It doesn't read like a warning because there are no grounds to warn the media. That's not even just wrong, it's so wrong it's silly.

If Cain's staff believes there are grounds to sue the media for reporting this story then they are even more pinheaded than they were when they named one individual by name as the person who leaded the National Restaurant Association settlements to Politico (and that specific claim by the Cain campaign has certainly disappeared down the rabbit hole), or when Block said that another's claimant's mother worked for Politico (which he had to retract within hours).

This former Cain supporter first thought the problem was that Cain had surrounded himself with incompetent staff; now I'm convinced that expertise in one area (business turnarounds in the food industry) doesn't translate into competence in other areas. Cain isn't ready to run for President or to be President, in my opinion.

Defending Clinton? Any you are a real conservative?

I'm not defending clinton and I have a 13 year posting history that's a testimony to my conservative bons fides! But these accustaions against Cain are very similar to the accustaions against the slick one and the response of vertain FReepers is exactly in line with what Begala and Carville did to clinton's accusrers. I found their behavior despicable and I find the behavior of certain FReepers in this regard to be equally despicable. One FReeper wents so far as to repeat Carville's disgusting comment about dragging a $100 bill through a trailer park...in fact I saw several Freepers make that allusion!

And did you forget that Jennifer Flowers had a taped telephone conversations?

Are you aware that Cain's latest accuser is producing phone records and text messages?

There are facts and there are rumors. It pays to be able to distinguish the difference between the two. P

You're entitled to your opinion as to what constitutes a fact in this matter.
