President Barack Obama is urging Americans facing tough economic times this Thanksgiving to believe in the nation's ability to overcome its challenges.

In a taped Thanksgiving message, Obama says the partisanship and gridlock in Washington may make people question whether unity is possible. But he insists the nation's problems can be solved if all Americans do their part.

Well, I’m surprised he didn’t say the First Thanksgiving was for people to bow to Mecca, and say in Arabic that Allah was great.

Something I was taught years ago: “Seek responsibility and take responsibility for your actions.”

Exactly! The same way Obamacare was rammed down our throats is exactly how the GOP should repeal it when they take over but unfortunately I have no confidence that Romney would do it if he was elected.

And this is the reason why Obama faces a TOUGH re-election campaign in 2012.

..this clown will never ever accept responsibility for anything. He makes sure of it.

First, all the regulations and the passage of Obamacare ensures the economy under Obama is sure to keep tanking - high unemployment, no economic growth, more poverty and more dependence on food stamps and welfare. The media gives him a pass.

Next, the US downgrade from AAA status - the media says nothing.

Now, he's arguing that the republicans want to raise taxes if they don't extend the "payroll tax holiday". Great, social security is going banrupt and this clown wants to suspend collecting revenues to pay for. As a result, under Obama, we now bring in less social security than we are paying out for the first time in our history - and the media does absolutely nothing.

UNBELIEVABLE!!! November 2012 can't come soon enough.

The Marxist Kenyan will never accept responsibility for anything, he and a complicit liberal media make sure of it.

Obama will have almost the entire media on his side next year. They will “report” that economy is actually “owned” by the GOP who refuse to tax the rich in order to make the middle class suffer.

We will see if that works.

Obama knows nothing of real life.
Grocery stores were full of people on Wednesday, glad that the company gave out paychecks early again this year, instead of waiting until Friday so they could buy some Thanksgiving fare.
So many people not getting any paycheck at all in spite of being very employable and looking.
No, these factors did not affect me or mine this year though we have known those times and are very aware we could again.
The clueless Obama, who not only doesnt know, doesnt care. I dont particularly mind if he doesnt care, just get out of the way and let America do what it does, work.

I do believe in the nation’s ability to overcome its challenges.

BUT NOT WITH OBAMA in the White House, and not with a Democrat Senate.

We have one chance to save America without violence, and that is to replace the Muslim President, and the idiot Democrat Senate led by Harry Reid.

I have my doubts on that, because even many in the MSM now realize that the combination of that American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and the Quantitative Easings 1 and 2 have done NOTHING to solve the continuing economic malaise. In short, it's 1979-1980 all over again.

Where did this idea come from that raising taxes will help the economy? It might help government in the short term to come closer to balancing its books, but it won’t help the private economy. Of course Obama doesn’t give a damn about the private economy. He only wants government to grow, grow, grow.

You’ve just got to wonder why he can’t urge Democrats to do their part.

How many House-passed bills are sitting in the Senate, from full budget proposals, to elimination of wasteful programs and the Democrats DO NOTHING on over 200 efforts to get the country back on track

If there is a DO NOTHING Congress, it is populated entirely by Democrats.

This is a theme the RNC needs to pick up now and define the issue as DO NOTHING Democrats.

Jimmuh Catah started it, Clinton made it worse, The vile creature known as Frank/Dodds poured gasoline on it as Obama/ACORN lobbied Congress.

Check out post #4 of this thread from 2009.
