There is only one answer.
I hope that she is listening.
Newt pulled the plug on his own campaign tonight, and then wimped out afterwards by trying to shuffle his idea off on the “Foundation” he mentioned. It’s over. Watch as his poll numbers tank from tomorrow into Iowa.
So long, thanks for playing...Have a seat over there with La Raza Rick after trying the reverse of heartless; dick.
What part of ILLEGAL don't these assholes UNDERSTAND?
GET.RID.OF.THEM! Its not my or any other LEGAL citizen's fault they made the decisions they did in breaking our laws. I have no sympathy and only wish them GONE so LEGAL Americans can get some work and tax dollars are no longer spent on this insanity.
Enforce our southern border like Mexico does theirs.
That certainly in the correct palm to forehead photo to use. Newt always shoots himself (in the head!!!). Might make a good Secretary of State, tho.
These jackassess never understand nor do they want to do the right thing. We don’t want them, Newt. What don’t you understand?
Well, in a way I’m glad Newt revealed his rather wimpy stance on this issue, which I’d always suspected. It was already a rather noxious task trying to figure if there was ‘some’ way I could support him without having to contort my entire value-system. His beltway/insider/lobbyist status rankled my Tea Party sensibilities; His sleazy personal life made me want to retch; And his history of bizarrely bad judgment calls tended to overshadow his admittedly positive accomplishments.
With his weak amnesty stance, at least it seems I can just cleanly close the book on Gingrich once and for all. And I’m really saying this without any gratuitous ire towards him. In fact, there’s a lot I actually like about him, and his presence in the race has been a beneficial one. I have great memories of him back on CSPAN in the 1980s, and the ‘94 election was a truly stunning feather in his cap. But the whole notion of supporting him for the presidency? Nope, afraid not. I just don’t have a lick of trust in him.
Gingrish is still OK with me
The problem with immigration is that we have not been enforcing it for 40 years
And so we have whole families that are illegal, but have never lived in Mexico.
To suddenly start enforcing a law we have let politicians ignore is GOING TO cause some problems
First and foremost- CUT OFF THE MIGRATION- lock down the border- then we figure out what to do with those that are here
Okay, so there are conservatives who are actually faulting Cain on the Cuban language thing? Woah! Okay. Logical.
Newt, their families go with them and everyone is happy to be obeying the law.
I am sick and tired of being accused of not having compassion, because I don’t believe in rewarding illegal activity.
Are you on a phone or some other mobile device?
bump
People tend to think that Cain is stupid while Newt is a genius.
Well maybe that’s wrong. One would think that a ‘genius’ would be smart enough not to anger the voters he needs BEFORE winning the primary, while someone ‘stupid’ would anger voters he needs.
So while we may cringe when Cain says stuff that makes us think he doesn’t have all of foreign policy figured out, we sure as heck know that he RESPECTS us, and does not feel a need to ‘educate’ us (regarding Illegal Immigration, in particular) as Newt and Perry are certainly trying to do.
No matter who is elected, there will be some sort of amnesty as with Reagan. The question will be how to prevent or deal with future illegals.
How can they be illegal if they’ve never been in Mexico?
If they were born here, right now, they are considered US citizens.
Another amnesty?
Agree. I've opened my wallet to the Cain campaign recently... I have watched the newtster crawl to the front recently and even though he has talked a good game, I just don't trust him.
This immigration stance has closed the door on his run in my book.
I don’t know how I can in good conscience vote for any GOP candidate who is an illegal lover. Cain and Bachmann seem to be the only candidates steadfastly opposed to the illegals and opposed to amnesty.
An idealistic view: Collect them all up, put them in buses and send them home.
Realistic view: That’s just never going to happen.
Better to close the border, enforce the laws already on the books, remove the incentives for coming here, and allow the numbers to fall via attrition.
