What all of these politicians don’t get is you can’t be here 25 years and not be breaking the law.
Illegal immigration is not just about crossing the border illegally. In order to stay here, there are a plethora of laws that are broken every day.
How do illegals rent or buy houses, get jobs, etc? It is called identity theft. They are using stolen legal citizens’ identification. They are committing tax fraud, social security fraud, document fraud, and so on and so on and so on. The longer they are here, the more of these crimes they are committing and the more legal citizens are the victim of their crimes.
They act like it is a victimless crime and these poor people’s only crime is coming here for a job. If that was the case, they could have a point- but it isn’t. Who is going to restore and reimburse the legal citizens whose identity was stolen? When are those crimes answered?
Good answer-absolutely correct.
And they also forget that if those illegals are working now, it is some american’s job they have taken.
And that “11 million” illegal “immigrants” number is bogus. If I had to guess, I would say that it is at least 3 times that.
“What all of these politicians dont get is you cant be here 25 years and not be breaking the law....”
We need a *like* button.
Yes to all of that. And everyone who says securing the border is the most important issue: WRONG ANSWER.
The majority of illegals residing in the U.S. did NOT sneak in via the border. They overstayed visas.
So back to your points. Why are all the crimes by illegals not being addressed here? And, for that matter, the tremendous expense of birthing, feeding, clothing and educating their millions of KIDS???
I agree totally! I am not a fan of Ron Paul at all - but one thing he said, about cutting the benefits to all illegals (if I heard him right) makes the best sense. Giving food stamps, welfare, subsidized housing, WIC, to illegals, is costing this country BILLIONS of dollars every year! (Not to mention the cost of those that are incarcerated!)
Amen, wonderful post! People try to pretend like it’s not a crime, that they aren’t criminals, we hear politicians calling them “undocumented workers” (which is what my state, Texas, calls them) as a way to avoid the “criminal” label, but they are criminals. There is no denying it.
