Israel Radio reported Monday morning that King Abdullah of Jordan said "Israel has an expiration date."
Abdullah's comments were reportedly made to the BBC last week. During the interview Abdullah said Israel's survival was dependent on a two-state solution. Israel does not realize it needs such a solution, he added.
Abdullah added his government would increase pressure on Israel to reach a final status agreement with the Palestinian Authority.

Yup. That and Egypt.
He’s reading the tea laeves wrong. but anyway God , the God of the Bible who knows the END from the BEGINNING has some pretty nasty prophecies of the latter days be a remnant will end up with Jorda area protecting that remnant. Oh wait not tea leaves*head slap* it’s islam, bassackward as usual.
Giving up the Sudetenland worked out so well for the Czechs, didn’t it?
There are plenty of Palestinian states, they are nothing but Arabs, like the rest of them.
You'll get no argument from me there.
I was speaking from the perspective of the British partition of the early 20th century. Jordan was supposed to be for those animals not civilized enough to be able to live in Israel.
Abdullah of Jordan, not S.A.
No, it didn’t. Israel’s situation with Palestine is altogether different, however. As a minority, Sudeten Germans themselves did not threaten Czechoslovakia. The problem was Nazi Germany with its overwhelming military advantage over the Czechs, using fake concern for the interests of Sudeten Germans (who weren’t being oppressed anyway) as a pretext for tearing off a piece of a neighboring country. By contrast, Israel has vast military superiority over all its neighbors. Islamic terrorists will always strike at Israel. That is a threat Israel will have to deal with on an ongoing basis, but at least it isn’t an existential threat. Demography, however, is an existential threat to Israel as a Jewish state if it insists on holding on to Judea and Samaria. Wisdom dictates that Israel safeguard its status as a Jewish state by separating itself from Palestine, which threatens to make it a majority-Muslim state.
The current joker’s father sat back in the 1973 war, but permitted other Muzzie states to operate from Jordanian territory. And at the same time, he passed the exact date of the attack to the Mossad via a contact he had in London (a doctor he visited for some chronic problem). And the Israeli intel upper echelon completely failed in their duty. It was the last one of a series of such failures leading up to the 1973 war.
Anyway, King Hussein knew that if Israel were gone, he’d be a goner as well. The Israelis helped bail him out during the PLO uprising in 1970 — Syria sent tanks into Jordan to allegedly support the PLO (the real goal was annexation of Jordan to Syria), but they turned tail when threatened by the IAF.
As it turned out, the 1973 war was nearly a disaster for Israel, and finished the political career of Golda Meir among others. But between the massive response from Israel’s reservists (one anecdote involves an Israeli soldier arriving in Nepal I think it was, on his honeymoon, seeing the news, and turning around and booking a return flight), the valiant skeleton crews that slowed down the Syrian advance until they got there, and the US airlift “Operation Nickel Grass”, the IDF and IAF turned the tide, retook the entire Golan, and destroyed about 1100 Syrian tanks of the original 1400+. It was a costly victory, but it showed the Arabs that even with all the advantages, including surprise and Israeli brain farts, they still couldn’t win. :’)
