You’re missed when you’re not here! Don’t let this ugly primary season get you down or the concern trolls and others with agendas.

Everything will sort itself out. The silver lining for me with Sarah Palin not runniong is that I am emotionally detached!

I don’t have *a* candidate that I want to win with all my heart and soul. They’re all flawed and they’ve all made mistakes along the way, but none are nearly as flawed as the Marxist in the White House, and I will vote for all except Romney and Ron Paul -— given that Hunstman won’t be the nominee unless Hell freezes.

Trolls and others really waste their time posting all their *valuable* spam, because they don’t change minds of supporters and the spam is always one sided. I skip right past that crap and leave it others to argue over the distracting crap. It’s precisely the bait of the lamestream.

Keep the faith, dear pal! Stay here with us!!! We need you!!

Newt has done more for conservatives then anyone since Reagan.

And that information is avaibale to any who care to check it. Many don't, they just listen to the soundbites the media lays out or those here on FR who favor another candidate.

I do read and listen to others comments, however none can truly go up against the accomplishments Newts had, directly and indirectly, he's been a force for conservativism, and he is 100% sold on the USA.

If you’re going to use a write in to vote against the Republican candidate in the General, don’t come crying about what Obama does to our country in his second term.

Pitiful that you are willing to elect a liberal Republican instead of fighting for a conservative like Bachmann, Cain or Santorum. I won’t be crying. I will be furious with you liberals!!!!

I agree Onyx...but sometimes the trolls go just too far...so they should expect an outcry. I am definately in Newt's court now...regardless of whatever trash they might use. We just cannot let this country fall and nobody has the skill to take the wheel but Newt. I want our country set back on track, I want Obamas crew outed completely and so does Newt. He's up for cleaning house and nothing will get done without the key players being 'fired" from the get go and get them out of the way.

Naps....many are no longer looking at just conservatism in a candidate...they want someone who can stop the bleeding of a dying nation. Someone who can rid washington of those slashing it's wrists and has the ability to know what measures have to be taken, and the order of, to do these surgical strikes from day one and throughout til we're at least on a level where being liberal or conservative can again be the major reason for our votes. We aren't there right now....we're in a serious and perilous place which Obama still has time to do his dastardly deeds before he's done.

Newt has his arms up to fight and fight he will...he knows he will be misunderstood and he knows there will be things contraversial he'll do that people won't necessarily understand..but the bottom line is he does see the bottom line...and knows what has to be done to set us back on solid ground.

As mentioned before I would another have been brought forward....but i think we need a powerful individual who politicians have to think twice before they think they can pull the wool over his eyes. Otherwise, the rest of the candidates are vulnerable to just that.

Thank you Onxy... it’s just hard when you get accused by “certain” people of being a Romney supporter when you have been here for 3 years, supported this site, donated regularly, and NEVER EVER make one single post that even remotely showed support of Romney.

You don’t like Ron Paul, don’t think he would make a great President? /s ... if Ron Paul won I would know there was absolutely NO hope at all for this country. Zero! I can barely watch him he’s so nutty. The only thing I agree with him on are his views of the Federal Reserve and it would be funny to see him go after them but I doubt he would ever have the chance. Due to his views on defense we would all be speaking Chinese, Spanish, Russian or Arabic within a few months. :P

Iran with nukes is a deal killer for crazy Ron Paul, plus he’s going to be 78 years old and who’s going to be his VP? Alex Jones? Is that the correct name?

LOL.

I think we’ll meet our financial goals for this quarter sometime today or possibly tomorrow.

If FReepers understood the FReepathons are always for the current quarter’s expenses, maybe that would help.

Newt is not a liberal, neither am I. Is he perfect. No. His record is conservative. From cutting taxes, balancing the budget, tort reform, welfare reform and much more. And I can well remember all the Republican knives that were stuck in his back while he was Speaker, because he was conservative and stuck to his principles.

Unlike you, my vote will not be wasted. I will vote for Cain, Bachmann, Santorum or Newt if they are the candidate in the General election. Obama must go.

I don’t trash candidates; I just report facts.

Texans keep reelecting Perry, so they mustn’t be disappointed in his way of “doing business” as their governor. That’s fine by me - it doesn’t affect me in the State of Washington and no, I don’t like the Democrats running my state.

The people in Arkansas seemed satisfied with Gov. Bill Clinton as well, back in the 1980s.

But frankly, a different caliber of leader is required to lead the U.S.A., preferably one who doesn’t play politics to power. To be President requires a different kind of political sense than either of those two seem capable of mustering.

So am I trashing them? No. I’m still looking for a candidate who meets my standards and understands that being President means more than crony capitalism.

How does this quarter stack up against the last 3 quarters and the same quarter last year (days early)? It looks like we will hit quota in this quarter about 43 days early. Hopefully a friendly trend.

"Interesting thanks. My take on the differences between Marxists and American conservatives. Note that both systems have the same goals, a just society. However their views of a just society are vastly different. Marxists believe man is inherently evil, by evil I mean greedy and a willingness to do anything to gain power over his fellow man. To keep his evil in check it is necessary to have a big government that can provide each and all the things required to survive. By having all men equal in there material processions mans' greed is kept in check. American Conservatives view man in a more biblical context. A basically good but flawed creature. To keep man good requires a mostly religious citizenry with a government just big enough to defend society from foreign enemies and right the injustices that are bond to occur.

You're welcome.

I dsagree with both your premises above. Many present day philosophies and worldviews claim that people are basically good and that bad or immoral behavior is the exception.

“Whenever I meet someone who claims to find faith in God impossible, but who persists in believing in the essential goodness of humanity, I know that I have met a person for whom evidence is irrelevant.” ~ Dennis Prager ( Ultimate Issues , July- September, 1989)

<>

“All of this wisdom has been dangerously undermined by the foolish notion that man is basically good..” ~ Michael Ledeen (American Enterprise Institute)

Excerpted from:

War and Democracy

<>

As far as the "Left" (Marxists, et.al) goes, any so-called "beliefs" these losers hold about constitutional conservatives are merely PROJECTIONS of their own greed and envy. bttt

If you are a true leftist, then you shall covet....[and] one way to manage one's own envy is to project it into others and then try to appease it.

<>

"In his classic work, Envy: A Theory of Social Behavior, Helmut Schoeck notes that our most economically misguided ideas stem from the futile attempt to eliminate envy. In order to placate the envious individual, government must intervene with policies that do achieve the desired end of of creating more equality, but at the cost of inefficiency, lack of economic growth, and ultimately far less wealth for everyone. Only by tolerating envy is economic development possible: "the more both private individuals and the custodians of political power in a given society are able to act as though there were no such thing as envy, the greater will be the rate of economic growth and the number of innovations in general." A society is best able to achieve its creative potential if it functions "as if the envious person could be ignored." Likewise, well-meaning leftists who seek the completely "just society" are doomed to failure because they are based on the idea that it is possible to eliminate envy, when human beings inevitably find something new to envy. ...."

HERE

<>

"....if we could somehow eliminate envy from the human genome, there would be almost no reason for the left to exist. They would instantly lose that which animates them, for example, envy masquerading as justice or economic theory. In order to be happy, we must all keep our envy in check, because envy is the opposite of gratitude. Envy does not appreciate what one has, only what one doesn't have. And our capacity to imagine what we do not have--and that someone else is enjoying it--is literally infinite, as is envy. .." HERE
