Many retailers rely on the Christmas season to make their entire year of operation worthwhile.

In a depressed economy it's more difficult and the retail consumer becomes much more valuable, and they pull out all the stops to entice 'em into the stores.

Employees are loaded with the hours deemed necessary to accomplish that goal.

It seems like if these retailers ran Black Friday prices all year they might not have to depend on the holiday season to save them.
