Mark Twain famously wrote, "There is no distinctly native American criminal class except Congress." Peter Schweizer's new book, "Throw Them All Out," reveals this permanent political class in all its arrogant glory. (Full disclosure: Mr. Schweizer is employed by my political action committee as a foreign-policy adviser.)

So... why are you sitting out perhaps the most important presidential election in America's brief history??
I read this article this morning. It was quite good and she made some good suggestions.
Largely because the MSM has destroyed her standing with much of the American people?
Not only does she keep knockin’ em down with her astute observations, I think she is coelescing the uber left to the very right. May she run as an independent AND WIN!
good question
I expect Sarah to formally endorse Perry very soon.
And if Conservatives & Republicans pick Perry over Gingrich & Romney as the nominee, I predict Perry will ask Sarah to be VP.
The MSM will do that to any Republican who gets uppity
I wouldn’t vote for Perry even if Palin is VP. Perry is not any different than the types she has been “fighting all during her career”. He is a py-to-play jelly bean politician.
Given the musical chairs of "front runner" status in this GOP primary, there are plenty of opportunities for Sarah to rebuild her standing.
I’m sure she had her reasons for not running. I think she may have been alarmed by the cult of personality that seemed to have developed around her (which was probably somewhat inevitable, since she was touring the country not backed by a political party or organization, but on her own) and actually wants to be thought of as someone who can develop policies and not just play to crowds.
I wouldn’t be surprised if she runs for political office from her new state. In my opinion, leaving the governorship of Alaska as a mistake, but we also have to remember that she was under incredible attack from the left and also that she had a virtually newborn handicapped child to take care of. But perhaps she’s ready to get back into state politics or even run for legislative office in the future.
To Ratify Amendments
* Three-fourths of the state legislatures approve it, or
* Ratifying conventions in three-fourths of the states approve it. This method has been used only once — to ratify the 21st Amendment — repealing Prohibition.
The Supreme Court has stated that ratification must be within “some reasonable time after the proposal.” Beginning with the 18th amendment, it has been customary for Congress to set a definite period for ratification. In the case of the 18th, 20th, 21st, and 22nd amendments, the period set was 7 years, but there has been no determination as to just how long a “reasonable time” might extend.
Of the thousands of proposals that have been made to amend the Constitution, only 33 obtained the necessary two-thirds vote in Congress. Of those 33, only 27 amendments (including the Bill of Rights) have been ratified.
Within the GOP, yes. In the general, I am not sure she could. Dan Quayle never fully recovered his image after the MSM hit him with a similar attack 1988-92.
For that to happen Perry will need to come up with a pithy 5~10 point Pledge as POTUS, that he can remember, (yeah, had to throw that in) and includes addressing illegal immigration in a non-Shamnesty manner: a secured border, punish employers, and no social benefits = self-deport.
Largely because the MSM has destroyed her standing with much of the American people?
Don't forget the RINO, establishment, ruling class, elitist, backstabbing Republicans that would "have her back" while she was out front, leading the party as a candidate.
They'd be more help to the MSM than the DemoRats.
AT this point I can’t see any of them as a great candidate
If so, I implore her - Sarah, please travel the nation advocating ...
... a Constitutional Amendment stating:
"Members of Congress may NOT exempt themselves from the laws they apply to the rest of us. "
It should be worded to include their families, staff, etc.
And that includes Health Care.
