At some point Gingrich should punk Romney for the progressive he is. When you take someones one contradicting words how is that wrong? And, Romney has given all the candidates a lot of fodder to work with.

Gingrich's momentum right now is all about staying on message and refusing to be baited into attacking his competitors.

On January 22nd, the returns for South Carolina will be in, and the Republican field will be reduced to Romney vs. on “not Romney” candidate. If Gingrich is still alive, look for the gloves to come off at that point.

At this point, why bother ?

The Mitt Brigade isn't going to lose voters, and it doesn't look like he's gaining voters, basically, he's a liberal rino, who has locked up the liberal rino votes.

Newt has a point, that its the other 75% or so, he needs to go after. Those people don't want to vote for Romney, if he wants to win, he has to get them, if he goes after them and he gets them, he'll win, and he doesn't need to attack Mittens to do it. When you have 75% of voters not wanting to vote for a guy, your work attacking that guy is already done, mission accomplished, now you just need to give them a reason to vote for you, instead of staying home or voting for someone else.

That said, if Romney gets the nomination, that means the tea party is over, the movement is impotent, if a liberal running in a GOP primary can win the nomination, meaning get the votes, then the tea party is a joke.
