STATE COLLEGE, Pa (Reuters) - The lawyer for the Penn State football coach charged with child sex abuse said in an interview on Monday the boy at the center of a 2002 incident detailed in the grand jury's report had been identified and said it never happened.
Jerry Sandusky, the former defensive coordinator for the Penn State Nittany Lions, was arrested more than a week ago on charges he sexually abused eight young boys over a 15-year period.
Speaking to sportscaster Bob Costas, Joe Amendola, who represents Sandusky, said "we anticipate we're going to have at least several of those kids come forward and say, 'This never happened.'"
Sandusky, in a telephone interview with Costas that aired at the same time, acknowledged he had horsed around and showered with children involved in the Second Mile charity he founded.
But he denied he was a pedophile.

I’m telling all that the legal process is the best we can hope for here saying exactly WHAT Sandusky was guilty of. Sin is sin, yet you don’t go around treasuring accusations in your heart that proven common thieves are really murderers, for example.
We see an elaborate conspiracy theory being theorized. Something which the Mafia itself might be envious of having pulled off.
Sometimes by claiming too much, one ends up with nothing.
But by his own words, he is a pervert and should have never had access to children.
The problem here is that these victims know that the “judicial” system is going to try to make liars and fools out of them and the media will hold them up as absolute idiots.
In this case, it’s all about how important sports has become to the college image and all stops are out to protect anything and anyone who is driving the sports program.
If I were a victim there would be no way that I would ever disclose it.
Nobody ever got put in jail for a mere dirty mind, which is doubtless favorable for you too.
Has anyone been harmed? Even one boy buggered? Vast conspiracy theories have been posited to explain why not one boy will step forward in this age when other “sacred cows” like the Vatican are so much fresh hamburger.
One thing I would note having listened to the interview with Sandusky last night. As w/ Michael Jackson, I think Sandusky's thoughts are so perverted, he doesn't even know that playing naked in the shower with 10 year old boys is wrong. I believe he thinks his "affection" is paternal.
So, you think a grown man showering with young boys alone in the middle of the night is normal behaviour?
I asked you to admit that he was a pervert that should not be around children and you say that no one was harmed?
So, again, I will ask the question, is he a pervet and should he have been allowed around young boys are not?
Sports is definitely a whole lot today, and I even ventured to wonder if it has obtained idol status if it is willingly being “fed” little boys. (A hypothetical which even the most energetic finger waggers have yet to prove is happening.)
But the personnel running a sport do not remain the same, nor does any school lack plans for replacing unexpectedly lost personnel. If Sandusky was shown to be a rat, Penn State could feasibly, if not without pain, stand to lose him if he was bringing disrepute to the Second Mile and the football programs. Someone else could stand up and bring integrity to a program which had lost it. It’s not like Penn State would have to drop out of college football.
As it looks, some seem to be approaching the mien of that crazed French prosecutor (Javert?) in Les Miserables when the mountainous “problem” turns out to be scarcely a molehill.
I ask you to state who’s been harmed.
The law in the USA tries to spell out what kinds of contacts with minors are wrong. Is that perfect, probably not. But then witch-and-warlock hunters will always exist.

All I said was it appears the 100 reports I heard stating Sandusky “admitted” to raping a boy in a shower, were inaccurate. Seemed unlikely but heard it again and again.
I’m best guessing he is guilty, but I always caution against believing tv reports are reality.
As in McMartin School and other cases.

Actually it was just this story that made me think that maybe we should all slow down a bit.
Pimping out boys to donors? Wouldn't most donors prefer girls? And how exactly would one go about pimping out boys to donors? Let's say you were a donor. How would you react to some university big cheese asking if you might be interested in playing with a ten year-old?

Grown men do not shower with little kids. Grown men do not perform horse play with little kids naked in a shower.
That statement alone from Sandusky is all that I needed to hear. If he is doing these things on a regular basis then he is doing worse things with children.
I played youth sports and I have coached youth sports. Kids shower when they return home. The YMCA has a men's locker room and a separates child's locker room for a reason.
They may not be Penn State fans per say. Just pedophiles who paid money for sex with some of the procedes going to Penn State.

Well...the problem with that, is there is usually a parent present at home.
You can’t enjoy horseplay in the shower like that!
Anyways...there’s more room for horseplay in lockerroom showers.
