James Carville on CNN:
“Cain’s Lybia gaffe made Rick Perry look like Henry Kissinger.”

Another case of brain freeze and trying to recover. I do think he’s not up to speed on foreign affairs and yes, I think Newt does have that knowledge and yes, I prefer Newt but that doesn’t mean I want Cain to screw up.

Ok, that was painful to watch. Cain just doesn’t have the clarity or knowledge on foreign policy. The next few years are going to be critical as far as foreign policy is concerned.

Too simple a question, to be correct. It was a ‘tripper’.

Did someone have to clue him in on how many states are in the United States? No? Not as dumb as 0bama.

"So you agreed with President Obama on Libya, or not?"

Does anybody here know what President Obama's policy on Libya really was?

Anybody?

I know I never figured out what his intentions actually were.

Cain’s sinuous delivery proved valid concerning the nature of the so-called rebels fighting the al-Qaddafi regime. Cain could have directly addressed the issue of circumventing Congress, and the subordination of US resources to NATO, but they were not issues excluded to the point he made regarding executive level decisions.

The ridicule is childish and unwarranted.

No self-respecting Conservative should accept this anti-Cain bait. Piss be upon the insiders.

This is completely overblown. Cain was absolutely right to say that he would have accessed the opposition in Libya better and would have withheld his decision based on who would replace Gaddafi. And I would bet 95% of GOP primary voters didn’t know that federal employees couldn’t collectively bargain. I would either. Besides, what does it matter? Cain is still going to cut 10% across the board, another 10% after that, balance the budget, advocate for energy independence, etc.

I support Cain, because we need to send a strong message to the Washington elite that their inside-the-beltway RINO appointees comes to an end in 2012. Herman Cain is the ultimate outsider, not a phony outsider. I trust Cain, because his instincts are RIGHT. I trust Cain, because he is not a BS artist like Gingrich, and Romney. They pretend to to be conservatives, but their history shows otherwise. Cain has led and been very successful at it. Cain 2012!!

Thank God I didn’t watch it. Debates are next to useless. Cain should have replied by saying “Ask the women of Libya.” Islam and democracy are a bad mix.

I caught the video on the Blaze, and the worse part of it was just played on our local news. I hate to say it because I like Cain, but it was painful to watch. I would love to sugar coat that interview, but I just can’t.

That is what you have advisers for! If you want you could stump anyone of those candidates.

The interview was meant for print. The video was meant to substantiate the written transcript. Cain is responding as he would for a PRINT interview.

Let’s knock off the anti-Republican assaults, yeah. If there’s real EVIDENCE against a Republican, let’s dig into it. But the attacks against Cain are baseless and out-of-context.

...and the Cain people call Perry dumb???? Geez, after the last debate I thought old Herman was a little dense...now I know it! LOL.

Cain's toast...he needs to drop out and get out of Perry's way.

Herman Cain needs a foreign affairs advisor, such as Rice, Powell, Bolton, and Armitage.

I have no problem with his answer.

How is wanting to know more facts as to who and how the opposition was going to govern an issue. Better the Devil you know then the one you don't. Libya could still erupt into a civil war.

Now if your looking for a snake oil salesman with a polished answer on everything well good new for you he is already sitting in the White house.
