Actor Johnny Depp has moved out of France and returned to America because he didnt want to become a permanent French resident and pay income tax there.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star and his longterm partner, French singer/actress Vanessa Paradis, moved to her native country in the 1990s to live away from the Hollywood spotlight with their two children.
However, Depp has now moved his family out of France after government officials asked him to become a permanent resident, as he feared he would end up paying tax in both countries.
He tells Britains The Guardian newspaper, Well, I kind of do (live back in America). Im between wherever I end up on location, and then the States. (I left because) France wanted a piece of me. They wanted me to become a permanent resident. Permanent residency status which changes everything. They just want
Dough. Money
Im certainly not ready to give up my American citizenship.

did he bring his baby momma with him
I would think being able to pay taxes twice would be considered nirvana for a rich liberal.
’ “Depp goes on to explain that if he spends more than 183 days a year in France he will have to pay income tax in both Europe and America, adding, So you essentially work for free. ‘
This from the mouth of a liberal? Interesting. Heck, I live in one country only and I basically work for free and I don’t make a nth of what Depp makes. That being said, he’s one of my favorite actors so I’ll cut him some slack!
Think of the orgasm he'd have if the total of all the taxes added up to more than 100%!
Where’s the /sarc?
Hmmm... You’d think he’d be delighted to support socialism in both countries.
she could use a few pounds...and I never say that
sort of a skull face...not ugly
women should never marry nor breed out of wedlock with a man better looking than them
But...but I thought he said that America was like a dumb, sick puppy?

“Depp said he wanted his two children, ages 1 and 4, to experience the United States “like it’s a kind a toy a broken toy maybe. Investigate a little bit, check it out, get this feeling and then get out.””
Strange how limosine liberals have no issues about paying taxes, until they have to start paying taxes.
Maybe we can encourage him to "see the light" rather bash him for his foolish, past mistakes. (Heck even David Horowitz was a flaming Communist before become a politically incorrect Conservative). There may be hope. I'd write his manager.
The Lauren Hutton look went out in the 70’s, I think...
Come on Johnny...France just wants their fair share.

Depp apologized ON CAMERA.
Normally, most celebs and airhead actors would send a rep to read an apology but he MANNED UP and said on camera right after the statement. It was on Ent Tonight many years ago when I was living with a now ex-GF.
Besides, he said he wanted to teach his kids how to fire a gun like his youth back in Kentucky..
F Him! I guess he will be moving to Liberal Austin Texas, where he can be aroung fellow ASS HAT LIBERALS, and not pay state taxes?
socialism is great... as long as you’re using other people’s money
when they start wanting to use your money... a libertarian is born
(they’ve been grabbing for my money since i was 19. before that, i made peanuts, tho they took a chunk just to make me feel like i did something)
You would think there are 1001 ways to avoid paying taxes in two places.
And anyway I thought that the taxes you paid in one place were credits against what you owe elsewhere? So if you owe $10 in the USA and $15 in France you just pay $10 to USA and $5 to France. I guess I am wrong about that.
