Perry has a good heart. Thats the most you can say for him. He's a natural on late night TV. Maybe he'll follow in Huckabee's footsteps. He's not afraid to laugh at himself.

Thank you CCC....but the sound is breaking up ...will have to read the transcript later. I am disappointed in CBS AGAINBoth the CBS and National Journal audio/video links are breaking up constantly. This is SO ridiculous and frustrating. This IS 2011, right? What can't they get this to work? I have a brand-new fast computer, so the problem isn't on my end.

Santorum asks about federal spending and debt as a national security issue. What would you eliminate or return to the states?
Romney says he'll cap spending at 20%. Kill ObamaCare. Send Medicaid back to the states growing at inflation plus 1%. NEA, PBS, etc. are nice but can't afford to borrow. Reduce fed personnel at least 10%.
Huntsman endorses the Ryan plan. Would ship medicaid and education to the states.
Newt says four interlocking things: (stream cut so I got three) Energy, Manufacturing, Science & Manufacturing. And the rest of his answer was lost to the lousy stream. (grrr)

I think it takes some time for the feed to get ahead of itself. I haven’t had a stops and starts for quote a while now.
I thought several times that Perry didn’t answer the question asked of him, but instead rattled on about something else.

What is with Huntsmans choice of color? Pink tie? What color is that suit? LOL! For a moment I misread your post as "Runtsman."
As far as the tie -- did he play wide receiver at Penn State?
Cheers!

Frivolous comment — Can’t believe Bachmann is 55 years old. She’s damn gorgeous. Very inspirational.

Peggy Noone in this morn WSJ:
Mitt Romney, of course, did well, and continues to deserve an award for Heroic Self Discipline in the Cutaway Shot. He looks at the other candidates with a benign, encouraging look, as if he'll take no pleasure in it at all when he squashes them like bugs.
