Romney can't win without the conservative base. No Republican candidate can.

not wishing to be pedantic, but that first picture shows a rack of air rifles not firearms.

I know. Couldn't find a photo of Romney anywhere near firearms.

That's because the electorate is generally uninformed. They are basically conservative but have no access to truth.

Wow, you are right we could be disappointed, but voting for Romney will not be one of my regrets, will it be one of yours?

Starting with Reagan Republicans are generally at lot more disappointed in November when they elect ‘Moderates’, than when they elect conservatives.

That has been proven for 9 elections now since 1976. I guess we can nominate a moderate and be disappointed AGAIN if we chose not to accept history.

C’est la vie. We were disappointed in 2008 as well.
