Just wondering... are there any regs in NCAA rules about applying the death penalty for this situation. If not will they add them in the near future?

Doesn't look that way. Right now, I'd say Ohio State is in greater danger of it than Penn State. That said, I don't see it happening ever again to a top 40 D-1 football program.

Follow the money.

Those "wise man" at the NCAA only come down hard on those programs that have the temerity to pay their endentured servant athletes a little money under the table.

Nothing but crickets chirping from the NCAA when it comes to a "long-respected" program looking the other way, or dare we even say "enabling" a child rapist.

I don’t believe there are, as most NCAA major violations are related to recruiting and/or money issues.

That being said, I think the NCAA will be under pressure to interpret their rules in such a way as to allow them to mete out a severe punishment to Penn State.

Or, as you suggested, they might just re-write the rules because of the magnitude of this case.

The NCAA should ban Penn State from playing football ever again.
