He went to the AD and the guy who oversees campus police, who would have jurisdiction for an on-campus incident.

As he admitted, in hindsight he did not do enough. The question is whether he looked the other way and was in on the cover-up or whether he was duped by those perpetuating the cover-up.

And at this moment, the crowd is gathering at Paterno's house for a rally of support (just reported on NBC.)

They just don't get it. They'll be waving signs of support outside the courthouse next year. Guaranteed.

Oh, well the WSJ did not mention that he went to anyone but the AD...

I think he could have done a lot more, he knows he should have done a lot more. Geez, these were nearly 20 years of 10 year old boys?!

Count me one of your uninformed FR idiots, but I really really have a problem with the way he is being defended. Clearly there was a very slow path to action at best. How lives have been screwed up due to this scandal?
