In 1972, Jimmy Webb again recorded an album, ”Letters”, which was another critical success.

”Galveston”

This is a videotape of Webb singing “Galveston” live in 2010. He explains the genesis of the song and its meaning. I found his rendition to be quite beautiful.

”Campo de Encino”

Webb had been hanging around with Joni Mitchell, Harry Nilsson and Michael Douglas. Nilsson had been kidding Webb that he couldn’t write a humorous song, so Webb rose to the challenge.
